As I'm sure many of you are aware, the reason zergs are so, so very bad for a server is because the amount of time required to dispatch packets to x people is proportional to the square of x - because each player needs to dispatch a packet to every other player in range.
Breaking up zerg PvP, through both zones and RvR implementation, is just as important as anything else.
Would this mean, we might see a different approach to the zone lock mechanism in the future?
Like I said the live game pretty much could not handle anything over 200vs200 in one zone... the RoR server does an awesome job considering this.

There's no shame in breaking up the zone locking system again, maybe instead of rotation just have them reset independently after X amount of time locked.
most of the time it's just pve flipping keeps anyway, at least having an option to move to a different zone might break up the train a bit.
Or spawn the emperor/zetch and have them slaughter everyone in the zone. I'm cool with either.
