When i checked average damages in 2023, wl was top dps (it is still top dps nothing changes) and it was hitting slightly more then slayer/choppa. Mara was the worst mdps damage wise and wl was hitting 69% more damage then mara. I stop checking data because i know everything is same. I have seen many sub lvl 40s on your killboard with 2 lvl 40rr80 in first 3 pages. I recently finished leveling up my WL BIS, but even before that, I never had much trouble getting at least 30 kills and few deaths from the lake. I'm not bragging, on the contrary, it's so easy to play with WL and rack up kills that anyone can do better.
WL urgently needs adjustments, especially to armor penetration. The Whirling Axe build is ridiculously OP, and for some reason, the range seems to be above what's described in the skill. Apparently, it's much more than 25 feet.
Well, the impression is that they left the class like this on purpose, to cause absurd damage without any consideration of the consequences. I've managed to kill over 14 players by jumping into the middle of the destruction while pushing during an attack on the keep in DW, using only Whirling Axe, and the damage reached the corners of the room...
They talk about a DPS balancing patch, but I'm almost certain that the Whirling Axe will continue to be insane, and that really breaks the game, especially since it seems the devs intend to make the game more and more zerg-oriented every day.
Yes, I know that WL defenders will appear, because it's difficult to leave your comfort zone.
