The launcher doesn't work! The log contains the following:

at System.Diagnostics.PerformanceCounterLib.GetStringTable(Boolean isHelp)
at System.Diagnostics.PerformanceCounterLib.get_NameTable()
at System.Diagnostics.PerformanceCounterLib.get_CategoryTable()

You need to rebuild performance counters. How to manually rebuild performance counters:
1- Go to start, and type in the search box "cmd". Right click cmd, and run as administrator.
2- Type in the command console, "cd c:\windows\system32", and hit enter.
3- Then type "lodctr /r", and hit enter.

I tried the link provided by Ley but it sent me to a site where it said the file had been deleted by the owner or somesuch,

Thanks a lot, but after downloading the launcher from the link you provide the problem remains. Something else must be broken in my pc. Curiously, when I enable Hotspot Shield the error message doesnt pop up, but the game doesn't even begin to launch.

Same prbl. When i run RoR launcher i have error. some prbl with data.myp (Data.myp system. exception: you need to stop using the folder data.myp.............) And no character creation option
