Now we at at the subject, what rotation do people use for ranged squigherder?
Yer Bleeding -> Rotten Arrer -> Exploding Arrer -> Squig Frenzy
Gotta get those DoTs working early, and make sure they have the heal debuff going. Repeat as necessary until the heal debuff lands. Also wanna use squig frenzy on cooldown, and get it running pretty early.
Behind Ya (if possible) -> Finish Em Off -> Run 'n' Shoot / Lots of Arrers
These are our 2 big hitters, so I try to get them in as often as possible. FEO still hits hard, even if not below 30%, so I think its worth using every cooldown. Obviously, I try to use it when they're below 30%, but I have no problem using it before then too. Run 'n' shoot is the default attack, once everything else has landed and im on the move. If im stationary, Lots of Arrers, tho the AP drain is a pain.
Thats my basics for damage "rotation", such as it is. DoT them up, then start burning them down. Reapply DoTs when needed.
Obviously, we have a lot of situational abilities too. Snare for when we need to kite (often one of first abilities used if im kiting), silence (for healers and mages), disarm (useful for most classes), armor debuff (if im stationary AND versus high armor target) and finally initiative debuff (im always in 2 minds whether this is worth it for not). Whether im kiting or not really plays a big part of which situational abilities i can use.
I'm absolutely not the best squig herder tho. My main is my BO, first alt is Shaman, so when it comes to squig i just don't yet have the instincts and quick reactions needed.

WLs were made to counter SHs. In a fair 1v1 fight, you lose. Back in live you could use Shrapnel Arrer to mess with their pounce and actually kite them but Idk if it works anymore. At one point in RoR I had a build that melted most classes including WLs but you had to get the jump on them. Unfortunately their changes ruind the RSH and the class has never been the same, at least for me :/. It seems as soon as you start hitting big crits as a RSH the devs flick you in the ****.

Wasn't there a KD on live for SH? I know that both BW and SW have ranged KDs (I die under them often on my DPS toons) but where is the Destro ranged KDs? I forget what it was called.
It may have been under the mSH or a pet?

The only KD we had on live was from the basic squig. He still does it. If there are a ton of WHs out I would use it to knock em down, eat him for health and buff, then sticky squigz away and kite.

The only non-Morale ranged Destro cds are Mara's Concussive Jolt (25 ft AOE KD) and Mara's Mutated Energy (100 ft ST KD if you disrupt the caster).
rSH lost their ranged KD when the ability rework happened
(
viewtopic.php?f=42&t=52129&sid=e04d157f ... 26ec2f8ea7).
They still have a melee kd on their base Squig but it is unreliable to say the least.

Thanks. I suppose that is the clunkiness I am experiencing. Probably a good balance opportunity in the DPS balance pass.

Detaunt tactic is the only thing that will give you a chance. Also don't be solo.

Hi there -
Just switched my BIS mSH to ranged for the first time. Doing ok as I learn the abilities, etc. but having a rough time with WLs solo. Any pointers?
Running 13/0/11 (Teef'z build).
Running the Detaunt tactic and even detaunting the WL in the air (not sure if that stacks with the tactic) but as soon as I land I am basically dead. The pet is too fast so I get yanked 100% of the time. I've slotted Focused Mind and Concealment but outside of that for the pull I get murdered by pounce, Cull the Weak, etc.
8k wounds...
Thanks for any help/advice!
More wounds + blue+ potions

Why care about a hdbuff in solo
