I am shocked to hear devs are deciding how their game should be played, in other games the devs and producers always asks every player for confirmation before writing a line of Code.

Make WoW an Ego Shooter, i want it!
Obvously we are comparing how live used to be. And its not their game, its a EA/Mythic game.Very smart comment.
And WE all know that live was a success!

So we should ASK EA/Mythic? Or Accept that the people in charge of this project are giving the direction how to play it? We can scream, we can cry, we can leave and they have to live with the consequenzes, but it's THEIR Server, not mine, not yours, not Community property, deal with.

Good news, you've got nearly everything they got when they started, just make it better!
Your point in all this?

Question..

Can you join a SC with a premade group but not be specifically in that group outside the SC.
Basically can I do my own thing but be allowed to que up with a premade group in SC and then jump back to doing my own thing when not..

My simple point I was playing on Destruction with my SH and I was Queing up for SC because my renown was a bit low for my level. It just seemed I was just ending up with the same bunch of Destro players. Over time we just seemed to jell and we would win some and lose some.

Overall it was a fun time with some close wins and defeats or time running out.

It would have been nice if I could recruit people for a premade but only for SC and not be in a group with them. I don't know if that is possible in the game.

When there are not many in queue, you most likely get into the same sc again and again, if all queue right after sc has finished.
What stops you from making a group and run off to do your own stuff, if all members are fine with it?

Just ask the people if they want to group up for sc but doing their own thing in between, most people won't bite you if you ask them.

Because it wasn't the sweaty premades that were leaving the game and now that the relative population between pugs and premaders shifts more and more towards premaders the sc experience gets worse and worse for everyone.

Funny thing is: there will always be someone at the bottom of the pecking order and when all the pugs have left the game, it will be a premade that gets farmed by all other premades and no longer find enjoyment in this game. And so the server will cannibalize itself. Kind of deserving, given how long pugs and casuals were ignored if not outright ridiculed when they were asking for changes that were in their interest.
I love this post because it has so much truth in it but at the same time is not able to let go of the "sweaty premade" trope.

You are right there is always someone on the bottom of the pecking order, and if you are always on the bottom of the pecking order this ppl will leave. And its also true for premades (one of the reasons why ranked grrppplay does not work on such a small server like RoR - Pecking Order is just too obvious)

We need randomnization to mix and match the bottom of the pecking order sometimes together with the top of the pecking order to give everyone success from time to time. (i still think that 1 full premade max, per SC would greatly improve the randomenss and outcome for everyone).

But what is not true is that nothing was done for Solo's ... .PUG SC was REALLY great and constantly popping as duo's were still allowed. I queued solo A LOT ... equipped my WL mainly in PUG SC solo and sometimes in duo and even made "friends" with some tanks who started to always switch to my grp and guard me ... while we never talked to each other.

But a lot of bad "alone" Players complained about duo's and ppl "abusing" the system because they could not understand that teamwork is possible in PUG SC and they just lost becaause they are worse (just check how often ppl are not able to switch grps for a halfway decent comp in SC ... of course everyone who follow some basic principles looks for them like an organized Player abusing the system ..... LOL)

So the real "alone Players" got what they wanted and instantly abandoned it. I LIKED the solo QUEUE a LOT but it got destroyed by the very same people that still complain about premades in SC.

How about open Pug SC for Duo's again (also a natural way to balance class distribuition, because most duoas queuein are dps+ heal or dps+tank) instead of complaining about premade in regular SC ...

i completely agree with making skirmishes have DUO again - because that isn't a premade, that's simply a friend playing with a friend.

And also to allow skirmishes to have weekend bonus's too.

unfortunately there are those that will duo queue 3 groups to get into a discordant scenario. It happened often.

all solo queue, if you win you all join the "next" scenario vs the winner of the other scenario. Cross realm friendly.

Premades vs winners or other premades only.

if they want to with 1 player que, they could still do this, not that difficult with the few discordants open.
