There is a big misunderstanding in comparing normal sc with ranked, I wrote this in detail here:

viewtopic.php?t=53470&start=30#p558152

Normal SC have more mechanics to randomize the outcome of a scenario, at the end of the day, solos queing normal sc instead of discordant are just the lowest end of the foodchain, although good solo players can make a big difference in outcome if played correct.

To play ranked you and your group need to perform 15 min, with clear communication to maybe get the one shot that determines the outcome at the ende. Even most group players are casual people not wanting a stressful experience, that don't mean they want to stomp pugs, but enjoy the randomized experience I mentioned in the post above, they don't care if solos/smallmen or other groups on the other side as long as the momentum switches from time to time due to other group combinations.

Just make a move, stop queing solo and groups would still fight eacht other in normal sc without ranked.

Couldn't agree more. Sometimes I feel like those chaotic scenarios you get (mostly in T1/T2) where both sides get kills and the fight moves/spreads all over the map is actually WAR at its best.

fair fights are just not fun in this game, this is why ranked never catched on. same could be said about cities. its not peoples fault. its how the game was designed. its about guard and potency of healers. 15+ years later, you go into sc and have people spread all over the map, chasing tanks and healers with 0 coordination. of course an organized group will mop the floor with such enemies. the common player is just too stupid and unfocused, while organized groups enjoy incredible advantage granted by proper assisting and utilizing class synergies. join a t1/t3 sc on any side and ask in chat politely for people to follow/assist you. good luck getting an answer. ask in /5 to make a group. youll either get bored of waiting for it to fill it up or you get people thinking grouping up is enough and theyll merrily turn their brains off when sc pops.

What bothers me is hearing people complaining about ranged groups while they are trying fight them with 2h tanks ……use a shield guard your DPS! :-)
