I'm just sick of the 5v10s....by the time my team gets filled in the enemy team already have 1/3rd of the points needed to win (or more) and the battle is pretty much decided. The game should not start till both teams are full!

I think this might be solved by giving players only 2 options - accept sc pop or refuse sc pop. No wait 1 minute. I have to confess I did it also few times, I was in the middle of fight when sc pop appeared, so I kept fighting, when the timer got to 0:05, I hit the "wait for 1 min" and kept fighting. By giving players only "yes and no" option + increasing the "preparation timer" in sc by 30sec or so might drastically reduce the 5v10 etc. scenarios

why make it so complicated? just dont start the sc untill all players joined and its balanced (number wise). finished.
when i play a war3 match, it doesnt start before all slots filled either. then countdown then it starts with alle players and in balanced number. it stumbles me mythic didnt do it that way from the beginning, its a totally dumb and **** up system what they "invented".

indeed. and i think they wanted to reinvent the wheel to often.

Unless rewards are a lot better for premade only SCs most of the playerbase will solo Q only. That would mean waiting a long time for a pop, and would be negative for the community, because people are not grouping up. I like the idea to allow 3s and 6s to Q together, but it might be better to match a PM6 + 6pugs against another PM6 + pugs, and have everyone in the same SCs like it is now.
Even simply adding unrestricted group Q with a max of 6 players (as it was on Live) wouldn't change things much since we can already get into the same SC as a PM about 70% of the time. It would make it easier for us to sort out our own group balance, because at least we would always get the same POP.
