Not really as u can introduce short bans (12h,24h,32h etc.). Random abuse of the glitch should not be punished but intentional should be. Its really easy to gather the evidence - just make cca 3 screenshots or load fraps and 5 sec vid should be enough. E.g.: Yesterday I was playing Reikland factory scenario as a shammy and there were Magus (dont remember the name) and Sorc (named Magica) who just sat in the corner in on th middle flag and they spammed AoE trough wall right into the doorway from Order spawn. I told em to stop, they laugh, I told them that I will not heal them if they dont stop. Magus kept spamming, that Magica guy died 3 times from backslash and then he stopped - this can be the community way how to deal with this type of behavior...Jaycub wrote:Banning people for abusing LoS /AoE through walls would turn into a total **** fest. There is ways to prove someone is intentionally abusing it to the point where it is extremely detrimental, but there is going to be hundreds of more instances where it just happens that person was using an AoE. You can't ban people for something like this. The evidence you would need to do so would too great to justify even enforcing it, or GM's would end up banning people who didn't deserve it. This honestly might be one the most scary ideas I have heard of for this server.Ley wrote:Promote more GMs. That way the cheaters/abusers will get punished properly and players will be happy ;D
or
we can just introduce a Wall of Shame!
