Heads up! ive got it working now! (wrong launcher version) everything is fine now 
) but I still can´t get it to work on the Windows 8.1 PC....don´t really know what else to try...the permissions on the folders seem to be OK and everyone has full access to read and write. I can´t create characters or start the game..login works though, even if the launcher states a problem writing to the error log isn´t possible. So it seems to be a problem with the permissions here...
Tried it as admin and as a user, but it didn´t work. Tried it also with an external harddisk attached to a Windows 7 laptop....and it works....are there any known issues concerning Windows 8.1?
