Well, i passed sometime reading the patch notes that i missed since i quit game, and i can see some things goings that made the game a full diff thing that my experience.
I left the game between 1.3.6 and 1.4, seems, according to the things i remember.
Magus got a lot of love in the 1.4, probably to encourage ppl to play more variety of classes. In overall, with the other changes, u probably had more variety of classes. TimeToKill had to raise a lot, nearly sure, due to the slight variations here and there to nerf a little attack and boost a little defense. MDPSs got the best of the nerf bat in da face, except taking out the GCD the mutations of maras, that was a plenty bad chice, the class was powerfull itself and now could benefit from 2 mutations in each GCD cicle. In overall the class balance was nerfed from the stone/paper/scissor system to a simple "here u have ur survavility gear".
The full idea of RvR tiers its.... ridiculous, like made in purpose to piss off ppl so they buy, as subscribers, the progression pack to avoid a trial by pain in t3 and t4. Now seriously, if i hadnt quited sooner, it would have been here as soon as i entered t2 for the first time. Its just all bad..........ALL. There is nothing good in the RvR part of the patch more than the increased chances for zone locks in lower tiers, but in t4 it had to be.... im lost in words. Im curious to see what u say that happened, but the cities probably got as much as 4 attacks/day as i have readed somewhr, and thought was a joke, but with this RvR system, its more than likely. If an alliance strong enough to deploy 2 WBs of fully geared players in the lakes choosed to attack, they would have locked the city access in a couple hours..... It just makes no sense to me. The game i played had battles that lasted even for hours in the keep gates. City attack, with a good coordination, could happen, even more than once a day, but was a hard worked victory for ur realm, not a semi-ninja semi-stomped strategy.
As far as i concern, i will refrain myself from saying much more about my pesonal experience cause, man, that was a diff game that the one i liked.
My hope now lays in that this one dont get the worse part of that, but the best of the one i remember, that was unbalanced and with little variety, yeah, but nowhr close to the one u played lately.
My respect to all u that actually survived that patch.
