Maybe it's time to present the official WAR RoR definition of Fun (TM) signed by all the developers?

Because what is fun for one is not fun for the other, for some Counterstrike is the greatest fun, some people enjoy WoW raiding, some people play Twilight Struggle, while others enjoy Go.

IMO if you want people to stop farming and get out and PvP and after all this is a PvP game, the devs need to do a consistent gold wipe to a hard cap every month. This should bring AH prices down. I have found cheap BG on the AH but its few and far between.

If you want to bring more players back this has to be done because PvP is the only reason to come back to RoR.

I don't know if such a definition exists. My perspective is guided by the idea that this game should be about RvR as much as possible, because it cannot and should not try to compete with PvE MMOs in PvE. Others may have different ideas.

There are few steps in development that made me wonder.

1) Boss helmets and weapons are very popular luxury items. Sometimes before 2015 boss respawn was 1 minute, therefore everyone could easily get him/herself the items he/she "needed". Then respawn was later changed to 2-3 hours, then to 2-4 hours.
2) Level cap from 10 to 12 led to the problem of some classes lacking proper Dominion weapons (for example Ironbreaker does not have any) and to Order inability to farm them. Destro has rejoiced. Then Altdorf trolls were added to make Order happier.

As I understood first step was made in order to make the game as it was in Mythic times. Second step was made in order to test tactics, items were not added so that the game is as it was in Mythic times. So I came to conclusion the idea is to make the game as it was in Mythic times. Suddenly it seems that not only some players, but some developers do not feel it is good idea.

Simplest solution by OldPlayer: update every item drop by 100x, so 0,01 % ring is now 1 % ring. It's done by a single PL/SQL cycle or just SQL UPDATE command, should not take longer than an hour or two. Voila! Auction prices drop to 1 silver, gold is useless. And we will see if everyone is happy and play PvP/RvR all the time or something different happens. :)

When everyone got the same best gear there will be no "who's got the best badass items" competion. What else is WAR about if its not RvR? PvE was never the heart of this game in the end. Gold will be only needed for dyeing our equip lol

My 5 cents is that best gear should always be rvr currency bought gear. Have any bis gear come from pve and your pretty much saying to get an advantage you need to grind. No matter what people say grinding isnt fun and its only done to get a perceived advantage even though putting that time learning pvp would be more beneficial than a few stat points

Why is everyone complaining? It's common knowledge, that half of the devteam consists of

But seriously, i don't think this will be a big problem in the near future (T2) anymore. With the green stuff from the vendors (e.g. dominion), the rvr influence gear, rvr sets from tokens and (maybe in the future) scenario weapons from tokens, the best gear was and will come from pvp-ing. Only offensive jewelry will be rare.
I'm all for fixing the loottables. But if it takes away too much time, it's maybe advisable to fix it later.

+1

I even promote the idea of slapping RR-reqs on PvE gear
