Group XP Spread
Re: Group XP Spread
I'm not sure about that part. I know there are some quests that get a little buggy when in a group and require you to leave the party and kill the quest mob individually. I can't recall their names, but it has happened a few times to us.

Re: Group XP Spread
The XP spread is relative to the content being completed. Currently it's 5 levels so you don't have people at the high end of a wider spread stomping through relatively easy content.
There is no such spread in RvR as all mid-tier players are bolstered quite competitively if their gear is close to their level and they've invested in potions and talismans. Typically complaints from players that feel like they're getting crushed in RvR are correlative to their equipment being well out of date.

Re: Group XP Spread
I'm not talking about RvR, I'm talking about PvE. The thing that I want to do with my friends when the PvP has died down, or we just want to take a break from RvR. We enjoy playing the game, a lot. And I want to thank your entire team on myself and my friends behalves, but this is also a legitimate complaint we have. We want to get to 40, so we can be useful. Or get our alts to 16 so we can get into more active T2-T4 RvR. The grind from 1-16 can be really long when there's no action in T1 RvR, so we have to resort to PvE. We're just looking for some incentive to play with OTHER people in PvE rather than just solo killing everything. There's no incentive to grouping up. Even if you're question, the EXP is still the exact same no matter what, even if things do die quicker. It still takes the same amount of time to get the same amount of experience as it would if you were solo. Even if every player got 60 or 70% of the total experience, given that all characters are the same level in this hypothetical party, instead of splitting it down the middle, that would incentivize group play a lot more. I love this game, I want to see it do well, I want to invite more friends to play and create new characters to play with, and level up with them. I also want there to be a reason to actually group up and get rewarded for playing with other people instead of both of us just going to a random corner and solo farming for our levels.
Re: Group XP Spread
Public quests, epic quests, tunnels of champion monsters guarding ToK unlocks, side activity while your group queues for scenarios, general comradarie, twice the loot in half the time, I can think of many incentives to group up that have nothing to do with XP.FAmeloon wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 4:06 pm I'm not talking about RvR, I'm talking about PvE. Once again, WAR's basic 40 levels are not a prohibitive amount of effort by any stretch. I dont think racing characters to 40 in PvE necessarily makes you as useful to a warband as having a well balanced character with good equipment for their level at any level.

5lvls is that just in t1? Thought it was 9 atleast in t2+, or did i just missed/forgot that change?wargrimnir wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 3:32 pm The XP spread is relative to the content being completed. 9 ranks would mean a rank 30 could stomp through pve content made for rank 20th. That's like powerleveling.mubbl wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 5:10 pm5lvls is that just in t1? Re: Group XP Spread
Maybe i misstook it, with the lvl difference(player/mob) where you still get xp, my bad

Re: Group XP Spread
What? I think we're misunderstanding, You don't get more XP for lower level mobs? I'm talking about allowing low level characters to join your party and take a fraction of the XP, meaning if you have low level chars in your party, you can, as a high level character, go kill things that give better XP in an effort to share with newbs/lowbs.
