saw a SW (staff member) in a "creative mount" jump around like a power ranger
But is that a problem for anyone? Couldn't care less if they fly around in city.
yep its a major problem for me, if staff members are playing order toons mounted in "new special destro mounts" in the middle of IC makes me think what can they do after!???....maybe special items to offer the "friends"!!!

This suggestions sounds like a toilet-born idea.
Log to the smaller side, if you want fights or stay underdog and enjoy the kills with aao.
The suggestion has the same quality like xrealm timer. The OP isn't even the first one with the idea.
Did you read what I wrote? I am not a fan of this suggestion!!!
Excuse me, if it wasn't clear, I was agreeing with you.
ahhhh ok
I agree with one of the answers I read.
If you have aao, play smart. Hit and run. Kill rams. Hit and run some more. Kill more rams. .... till enemy is tired and go do sc;s or pve. Then YOU have the numbers.
Problem is ... you need to have a sound strategy and tactics. If all you want is smash fights between equal numbers, do sc's!

Staff members have friends?
We review logs for certain commands quite frequently, there's very few shenanigans we've ever had to reprimand someone over. There are very few privileges given to staff members on live servers to begin with and if you have evidence, please send me a PM. I'm very much against any staff using their position to empower themselves in game and I've deleted characters for it. Not that you guys hear about it much.

Why reinventing the fire. Mythic done your idea, was awfull and reverted it. They did tested that and whole playerbase were cying to the skies. And back then it was at first war year and population were quite big.
So no, that doeant work out. Only way is to make more important locations which will make the zerg to disperse.
Zones volume is also problem cos u can quite fast travel from one end to the other which I would fix by removing mounts at orvr so posittioning and moving at zones become more strategic and punisheble (or lower mounts speed to 20). That is how bos will become more valuable. Reduce movement and u got new meta
An RvR lockout has NOT been done before. What they did on Live was a lockout at the account/log in level.
Pretty sure this isnt true. I remember getting kicked backed to the WC upon entering an RvR zone.
Anyway the problem is and has always been people wanting the game to be something it's not rather than accepting it for what it is.
RvR isnt meant to be equal and fair. If you want something closer to balanced teams, that's what instanced PvP is for. The mechanics that give you something to do when the other side isnt there make it hard to do those things when the sides are even.
Integration of all tiers, instances, PvE and RvR was something that made the game whole. But lots of players thought that only RvR should matter and that is reflected in what this game is now.
The game isnt and will never be perfect, part of that is because it's made to emulate something that is never fair and balanced.
Find a way to enjoy the game on a side with more people. Find a way to enjoy the game on a side with less people. Don't play a game you dont enjoy and constantly complain about it. This is just a common sense idea, not trying to be the guy who's says "if you dont like, it dont play it". I want as many people as possible to enjoy and play the game because it makes it more enjoyable for me. But constantly complaining makes you miserable and has a chance of bringing other down with you.

If you all remember on live, this happened a lot in Fort/City fights. the instances were capped and sometimes, if you died, you could not zone back in because population was too high. It sucked then as it would now.
AAO rework with no more rewards but better odds is the answer I would want. AAO right now gives more renown points IF and only IF you manage a kill. If AAO also gave a boost to defensive and offensive stats, it would be more likely you could actually get kills. As it sits now, with standard as-is stats for defense and offense, 6 vrs 24 is a respawn without rewards. However, if stats were adjusted commensurate with AAO, the underdogs would actually have a chance for something other than BO ticks and running from the enemy.
How much? I dunno. 5% increase to defense and damage at 100% AAO and then an additive 2% for every 50 AAO above that? 7% help at 150% AAO seems about right. 9% at 200 AAO..

Speaking from experience of leading wbs, and leading destro side to victory while having lower numbers.
People here assume that zerging with higher number in War is the actual fight. It isn't- since there is no permadeath or any similar permanent/long remowal from fight option here, victory here is breaking the other side's moral till they xrealm. The empty keeps zerging afterwords isn't the actual fight- its opening the loot chests after you already won.
So the complain about zerging isn't really a complain about balance- its a complain about the other side using the deserved benefits, after you lost the fight.
And again speaking from personal experience, winning vs superior numbers is very duable- you start with leading pug wb to take BOs, without staying at them for long enough for ther side's zerg to arrive, and make sure to keep the wb together even if you do get zerged. Keep the kill/death ratio in your favor, and make sure the other side can't take the keep, and your side will start to build up. Keep it for long enough, and eventually the other side will break and xrealm, which is the point where you actually won the fight.
This guy gets it... you have two ways to improve if you are vastly outnumbered, get better, more organised (use tactics suited to being outnumbered)... or the other option get bigger and recruit more to your group and grow... Recruiting more is the easy and fastest option but cheapest return long run.
Not everyone is equal (doesnt even have to touch on balance but) Renown, gear, synergy... experience, skill level and commitment all vary drastically from player to player and group to group... you might have equal numbers in the lakes, but you could have people afk alot and that is useless waste of realm manpower, you could have people running non ideal setups and classes that is their choice but again its useless if you come up against something stronger prepared on opposite side.
I am jealous of AAO because that provides the best fights! the most action/enemies... picking over scraps or winning fights by default numbers is no challenge and not so much fun when your enemy is outnumbered. People should spend the energy they put into whining into organising themselves to be honest... it doesn't matter if you lose zone, a battle or war... as its eternal, its about the fights and having fun who cares if you die.
I have also locked a couple zones with AAO, its not easy, been zerged hard but never gave up and whined... just fought to the last over and over until enemy eventually breaks
Besides lag glitching rams/lords and cast times of abilities in big fights... the biggest problem is the players themselves giving up easy and refusing to get organised and take the path of least resistance either give up, get more, or join enemy... not improve themselves forming tight knit groups and learn from mistakes and try different things. That is each players personal choice though. The game would be better off with more guild warbands or alliance warbands atleast on both sides.

It shows the lack of control staff have over each other in policing illegal game play.
What does it matters to you, if a staff member rides a flying dragon in the city? As long as they don't use it to actually play, nobody is affected.

Illegal gameplay? Like what? Riding a special mount? Woah.
Have any evidences – contact Wargrimnir.
Otherwise I will show you my control over the forums and then lock the thread which doesn’t have really good quality.

The talk from staff is that they play the same game as us with no inherent benefits i.e. they need to level renown the same as anyone. This is obviously not true if they are using mounts unavailable to the general population.
Woah, you create a link between cheating renown and riding a special mount in city and call it even an evidence for the previous statement. You should write a crime book.
