if you get hit with cutting claw (mara) and demolishing strike (any tank) at the same time as an example.

-1540 armor + -1056 armor = -2596 armor

order has the same on White Lion and every tank.
SM dont have debuff on armor. only add armor buff
Ofc, debuff is useful than buff
Morale 1: Demolishing Strike, dude.
Wasn't BL set giving a armor debuff proc too? Or was it resist debuff on SM?
Not optimal, when you have Dominator taunt proc but at least it is an option.

It does. But it doesn’t stack with other skillbased armour debuffs.

Pertaining to the OP, I actually would be interested in knowing the itemization formula used to populate items.

Armor is based on armor class; we know that for sure. STR, BAL, INT, WS, INIT, Tough, WIL, and Wounds all have a 1:1 ratio. Of course wounds and primary stat are usually weighted more on gear.

But where do avoidance, crit, anti crit, resistances, armor pen, anti armor pen, hp4, ap regen, morale regen, ability power, strikethrough, talisman slots, etc fit into these?

Or is it arbitrarily assigned?

@chinesehero

m1+wl/mara, actually the most dmg came from crit multipelrs, if you negate crit to wl/wh for exemple their dmg drop enormusly but this can be apply to all classes, thats why its hard say how much stats can be exchanged for.

it most likely depend from source; best source x renown poitn spend in renown are avoidance and crit reduction and worst are raw stats with crits and renown skills in the mid.

on talismans the best talismans to slot per efficency give are armor /res due not be abel to be slotted anywhere else (since renown dont have em anymore from 1.3.8/1.4.0.

then is all relative to specific class access, for exemple ini is important due be low enough on all classes so that ini debuff are a serious threat.

Most likely it always came to a debuff game and build around coutner in some way those debuff when it cames to increase your overall durability.

ex, spi/ele are important for orders while corp/spi are imporant for destru chars cuz those can be debuff for 300 ish.

same can be said for armor, you never have enough and even when you have enough armor debuff force you to spec toughness to increase durability-

What renown ability u think is good
I only have 80 points and always not enough to spend

How many armor do u think is enough. Tounghness is important? it seem dont reduce much dmg ?

Honestly CH, you're a changed man. I like it. On my Swordmaster, my renown priority is Reflexes > Futile Strikes > Opportunist. I actually follow this formula on every single melee that I play. As an SM particularly, you generally ignore defensive tactics, and your armor is a bit lower than some of the other tanks with the changes to Aethyric Armor. I follow the philosophy of capitalizing on any given classes' strengths, rather than forcing an offset of their weaknesses. The Swordmaster's "strength" is undoubtedly doing damage while retaining tank abilities like Guard and Challenge. I'd follow the above renown formula, equip full Dominator and Scenario weapon, and slot all four dot tactics to maximize this damage potential. Playing around with strength, I think a sweet spot is around 650. Getting more doesn't really equate to much more damage.

Every one said me is paper in SC
Actually they dont know I got 4000 armor and 600 resistance if add aura will over 800 resistance
with this build I die just because I always get Destro Focus Fire and ofc, healer only can focus heal to save me
I find a interesting thing is that the Destro see me in SC must hit me even I hide behind
Actually Chopa or Mara cant hurt me, only Sorc can do some dmg. That's why I hide she still chase
make my day :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

try to get same anticrit maybee
You are a true pain in the ass for my glass cannon sniper, as is Bep and a few others.

Beside of that your calculation is correct.

your armor mean nothing for WE, resist cap is 40%, no matter how much you will stack. Keep in mind debuffs by Chosen/Magus/Sorc.
your main problem that you are pushing too far without anyone else. Stay in blob at least.

After a certain margin any 1% crit is worth 30/40 str.

Also genesis are bad exemple.of stats exchange, the set is balanced on his own and designed to be an end goal which implify being slght over the top, plus def tanks one being **** compared to off dps one for a number of reason

Just like.tovl....wind impervious + 2 genesis is still your best option.
U mean initiative is an important stats?
pretty much, especially for a tank.
main difference between melee dps and
Spoiler:
[strike]loldps[/strike]
offensive tank - last ones doesn't have detaunt and "charge". Well one "cheating" tank like Kobts is have some form of detaunt + common tank's M3/M4. But it's not really comparable. So you have to think about defense too. Since there no implementation of trivial blows, crits is most hurtful thingy especially from sorcs/BWs.
So you have to keep highest possible value for ini, since there few debuffers for it + -crit stat from sets/rr
