Best players in the game (RoR server)

I'll start.
Best runepriest: thousandsunny

Only because destro are too stupid to attack healers. When i put pressure on her with my SH she usually continues to heal her group and forgets to heal herself , dying most of the time. Don't get me wrong, i love Sunny (chibichangaaaaaaa) but she is not the best RP in the game. Last night i saw this RP (forgot his name) who actually detaunted me and got out of range as soon as i put a DoT or armor debuff on him, making it really difficult to apply pressure. That alone made him far better than most RPs i have seen so far.

It is too soon for "best of" threads since there are very, very few premades around. Once you see more premades on both sides, many of the players you consider "the best" will become irrelevant.

It wasn't directed at you m8, just generally ppl will name friends as the best player of that class.
Thrain yea he does decent dps which has more to do with gear then skill currently, a gud ib in my eyes in current state of the game is one who switches oath, guards when needed even tho its bugged still can make a difference, assist's and snares dangerous enemies pushing not doing dps and flee'ing leaving team m8's to die.

This thread does make me laugh tho, the reasons that ppl give to someone being a better or best player, without trying to upset ppl it shows how little some ppl know about being gud at pvp. Reminds me of these so called "pro's" who use to talk a big game but never left a wc or joined a scen without a full team with all consumables to support them.

Ahh, I forgot to mention the guy that stayed online the other night even through an earthquake in his city. Think it was Juggernaut, that guy has the biggest set of boulders I have ever witnessed.

Let me give some names I remember well from the last 5 days :

Allies :
- Couple = Nefertkha my queen and Bathresht his husband, cause those 2 are linked by love and chaos pact.
- Sorc = Aluviya and Spexx, cause they are causing absolute mayhem. What a dps rate !
- Tank = Kye because he is courageous as a tank should be. Mad and hard as a rock.
- Tank = Orcpocalypse because this man get a dragon heart under his armor. Strenght and honor.
- Healer = Grickee cause he is pure madness as a healer.
- Healer = Venan cause he is a diabolical assist. One of the best I've seen yet.
- Healer = Snuff cause this chaman is hard to kill and a solid healer.


Ennemies
- WP = Judith, painfull because always here when you dont want, & hard to kill
- BW = Birdman, Big stuff as I like, and big balls of fire
- RP = I hate them all those little bastards

I think while some classes are ridiculously easy to play, others just have a complicated and/or restrictive class mechanic without any real advantage, especially SM and BO. I don't understand, why they don't have the switching bars from the marauder/sw per default...
Others have easymode buffs/debuffs for the whole group (especially with "twister"), while the bg/ib have to keep track of a bazillion single target buffs.

Btw: i never played DAOC, but it had some ability queuing per design. so i don't think it's "all bad".

Some styles have, as a prerequisite, another style. These are often called "style chains." For example, once you've attacked the Crater Cicada with the Pillager style, you can now use the Plunderer style, which has the Pillager as a prerequisite. Styles that chain off of another style will generally be superior, or offer an extra effect, since they're harder to accomplish.
You can queue combat style, so that if the requirement for the first isn't met, you will automatically attempt the second style. For example, the Ice Storm style in the Sword line requires that you evade. You might activate the style in the hopes that you evade your enemy's next attack, then queue the anytime style Polar Rift, incase it doesn't. If you do evade, you will perform the Ice Storm style; otherwise, you'll perform the Polar Rift style. Queued styles don't necessarily have to originate from the same style line, so if you have access to a Dual Wield evade style, and a Slashing anytime style, you could queue both, assuming that you are wielding two weapons, and your main hand weapon is a Slashing weapon.

Some class mechanics just scale much better.
Some are fantastic as you level, some pointless do nothing and some hold the class back

For instance
BW/Sorc - Great gets more powerful as you do
AM/Sha - Pointless heals/dps are crap when you spec the other as you level
SM/BO - Locks out half your abilities

Same with morales. Some do less damage than regular abilities some like WH morale heal debuff get better at end game where lack of heals kills with such low ttk.

Mechanics and Morales needed serious work they were years out of date. Remember shield walls and morale dumps. Thing of the distant past.
