And the ignition/cw tactic is too good to pass up in most single target builds. Even then, if you are one of the few who dont use ignite for some reason, you can still apply it on the move, and cast your KD on the move.
I also have to disagree with Nakedblade. I almost always do Ignite before. Thats just as a precaution against cleansing (I don't want to get into bad habits against bad players ;) ).
And I have to disagree with neokingdom. If you do the math you will see that you might do slightly more damage with Ignition (Depends on your boundary conditions). However against good groups you have a high risk of Ignite being cleansed. Which leaves you with a tactic that gives you nothing. And significantly reduced damage. The situation on Sorc is different because more or less their entire rotation is spirit resis so it might be worth the risk.

The issue with these selfish tactics is that you're a one trick pony. If I can shut down that one thing you become essentially worthless to your group. However if you run tactics like frozen fury/infernal gift you may be a bit weaker but you still have some value when your rotations get shut down.
Obviously you then need a group that can utilize these buffs... but thats a different story.

This is mostly it, people always view classes in a solo mindset, look not just what you can do, but what you can do for your group. You will become a much more knowledgeable player and therefore more deadly.

Even if you play solo good players know there classes inside and out as well as others and can identify weakness and benefits more easily. Give Infernal gift a go in a group designed to use it well and you might even surprise yourself.

Edited: wrong tactic.

Honestly give endless knowledge a go in a group designed to use it well and you might even surprise yourself.
endless knowledge gives you 160 int. what tactic do you mean?

I'm using slow boil as a cleanse precaution, in my case it works out a lot better. And I'll still state that ignite is a waste of gcd. Additionally, it's more visual while slow boil and boiling blood aren't in terms of really obvious animation, hence more often I'm catching players off guard, if they're not checking their debuff bar constantly.

Catching good players of guard with a BB rotation because you don't use Ignite seems like a stretch to me. If I take myself as a reference I watch my opponents far more closely than my own char. With a decently filtered debuff bar this works ok in most cases. But I'm going to test it when you say it works for you.

I doubt many players get squeekybum time from an ignite animation effect. They do when a BB or WoP icons on their buffbar though. Without ignite tactic youre gimping slow boil anyway. BW is the class with the most obvious tactic synergy in the game. I doubt anyone that hasnt even played the game wouldnt immediately spot the obvious rotation that everyones been using for years.

so, so far I've seen no one even try to justify how this is fair.... Am i just supposed to accept that it's not?
We all know the original devs didn't really know how to balance things right, but why do we have to keep things imbalanced in such a profound way?

Write up a detailed balance proposal. Get it approved. Have it discussed for two weeks. Watch changes happen.

That's the process, and it works mostly.

I appreciate the response, and I'll work on one.
