Re: [SH] questions
I guess some peeps don't really know what they are writing here....SH is the most hatred class for order. The highest RR player is a SH. And that all because this class is so bad and doesn't do any damage. Maybe Teefz or Jurki can give the peeps some advices how to play this class?
Re: [SH] questions
SH is devastating when assisting a heavy DPS. You will really only be able to solo squishy classes that aren't paying attention, have no heals, can be kited etc. SH/Sorc combo is my most hated. For best success, you will use the quick shootin' builds listed in this thread. Heal debuff, ranged snare, ini debuff, bleeding dot, armor debuff, range debuff, silence, disarm. Your job is to keep these debuffs on the target while the main DPS (sorc, mara, choppa, magus) does the heavy damage. Don't worry, you'll steal plenty of kills from the main dps. ALWAYS keep the heal debuff on the target (Rotten Arrer you can spam this!). If you are soloing in an SC, make a macro button (/assist name of dps) and always assist this player until you find a better dps to assist. Your kills will increase significantly.Bubba wrote:Hi people, someone can show me a nice build for sh? i got full mercenary but my dmg is rlly bad

Re: [SH] questions
Asking high RR player with BIS gear how to play when you have lousy gear, terrible RR, awful stats is a bad idea.Rakazaka wrote:And that all because this class is so bad and doesn't do any damage. Maybe Teefz or Jurki can give the peeps some advices how to play this class?
It is noted that they have way way way better attacking stats and defend than newbie.
They certainly don't have the same play-style as low level person
For newbie, here some suggestion.
1)Unless some miracle happen, you can never ever solo a class who has heal.
Learn to assist ,I suggest, finding a SH but mara or any class with armor debuff will do fine.
2)If you hit tank for crap dmg ,more likely the tank also hit you for crap dmg . It is therefore safe to ignore him. (assuming you have heal)
3)You can hit tank. The key is tap him with heal debuff ASAP. Some tank aren't that tanky especially when there are 6 destro on him.
4)Don't chase after Killing Blow. Normally you won't get it.
5)Don't try to solo anyone. You lack burst dmg. Just take it as it is
6)The key for victory in fight is the enemy die. Doesn't matter who has the KB.

Re: [SH] questions
I of course agree but as far as i know also this players start at zero. And by the way I also heard that all in all SH the most high rr class in ror. Also don't sound for me like a very hard to play class. But of course I cannot proof this, i read it somewhere here.
Re: [SH] questions
And there are also enough order peeps playing (like me) with also having low rr, terrible gear and awful stats. Just try this can opener build and everything will be good. Use swift and improve your gear and so on. And soon you will see that besides WL any other class needs first blood to get you down

Re: [SH] questions
I've seen quite a few QS builds using 'Behind Ya!" and i'm wondering why, since it seems to do very little damage and is bound to your target's direction towards you.
Anyone using it: do you get nice hits/crits with it? Do you use it as an execution method when they're below 10%?

Re: [SH] questions
Hey. Same for SW. If specced deep into skirmisher/quick shooting it actually have quite nice dmg when used as finisher, with almost guaranteed crit. Pop m2, spam run'n'shoot finish with behind ya!. Most ppl run when they start taking lotsa dmg so the directional condition is often fulfilled.

Your initial statements are a tad offputting...kok wrote:Asking high RR player with BIS gear how to play when you have lousy gear, terrible RR, awful stats is a bad idea.Rakazaka wrote:And that all because this class is so bad and doesn't do any damage. Spoiler:
Old folk has the experience to help out new players, and certainly the capabilties to tailor their adivce accordingly - you shouldn't discourage new players from reaching out to those that are most knowledgeable about their respective class.
As to the suggestions:
1) Depends on the situation, if you are looking at a pug scenario your M2 in combination with proper CC will generally enable you to burst people down without issues - if you, however, are looking at just about any engagement that features coordinated opposition, yes, its is futile to attempt splits, as suggested: assist your mdps/rdps, it doesn't have to be a Mara necessarily, just about any competent dps will do. Yes, armordebuffs are incredible fancy, but proper assisttrains work regardless, especially in pug environments. Look out for QoL addons that alleviate the /assist macro chore, plenty of those are floating around on the forums.
2) No objections.
3) Yes, you can poke some tanks - however, you do not want to immediately apply your HD, you want to bury it beneath other debuffs, regardless of your target. And aside from that, you do not want to go around wasting GCDs and AP poking tanks if its not opportune.
4) I agree with not chasing DB at all costs, however stealing DBs with just about any rdps is ridiculously easy.
5) See 1).
6) No objections, I do absolutely agree.
