Return of Reckoning

Dunno if they collect those stats. Anecdotally, before the last gear patch I remember seeing a lot of Slayers, a few WHs, and very few WLs. Though the ones I saw (carnifex, simba, okdac if you were solo roaming, etc) were often very good. I took a couple months off, and now having played again for a couple weeks, I see far more WLs, still a few WHs, and very few Slayers.

I know in my guild group, our main mdps is a WL, and when I solo/PUG, I often feel pretty comfortable guarding/assisting the PUG WLs, whereas guarding/assisting the PUG WHs/slayers often feels like an exercise in futility as they suicidally run into destro deathballs without any semblance of consideration for positioning, timing, etc. So from my perspective, its not only more fun to play WL as an mdps (can confirm, have played all mdps classes except choppa and bitch elf, all are cancer to play as PUG/solo, WL is less so), but it's more fun to guard them/assist them as a tank as they seem to be better at not dying like idiots. Again, all anecdote, but better than nothing I suppose.

@Penril: didn't this convo start with you going "isn't White Lion 1v1 build to send your pet at them while running away?" Was that really necessary? Only one calling WL OP is viskag/convert, anyways.

umm have you read ANY of the previous page? LOL. I had actually continued your joke (with admittedly a few grains of salt ) but look at the next SEVERAL posts after mine...

You have things like:
"Only reason you see lots of wl is because of lol shammys"
"I feel like White Lion is becoming the ret paladin (circa Wrath of the Lich King) of Warhammer. "Plate, bubble, AND heals?!" becomes "pet, burst, AND pounce?!" :p"
"It is always the same destro players who bring this up."

So yeah..... all of that is the context for my post. Rather than flame about WLs, I merely posted the "crux" of this issue that boils down to:
- WLs better in solo play, or non premade play (which is probably atleast 50% of ROR atm)
- Maras better when fully supported

So the players that do less "premade" and more PUG stuff will see WL as massively OP where as the players who are only doing premade stuff see Wl as "meh" but Maras as "massively OP".

BOTH are problems.

I think penrils point was that we're now rather off-topic, and the post was necroed by convert posting a meme anyways. Not that I think we should all dogpile viskag either. But consider the context of your posts here: somewhat lengthy discussion of how WL is OP (even if Mara is OP) in a thread in the Elf forum about WL's asking for 1v1 advice. In other words: perhaps not the most opportune time, or place, for the discussion you desire.

@th3gatekeeper can you please stop? If you Got a 1v1 wl build to link, then link it. If Not, dont bother posting wall of text.

I saw on the forum in a locked thread, Baiting strike(momentarily distracts player) that this is not applicable in pvp? Is this accurate? doesnt work in pvp?
Just got it so am experimenting with it. Anyone know?

I mean atm it only distracts people coz they're thinking 'Why is he using this in PvP?'. Serves no real purpose in PvP (unless you got tactic).
