On live, Field of Glory was a XP buff for fighting in RvR. Basically, you got X% more XP when you were engaged in RvR for kills, etc. I think the value varied over time, last I remembered it was 100% on live servers. Although it may be any value on RoR, of course.

BO/Keep proximity gave you more RPs, basically. If you killed a player near a BO or keep, you received more RP than if you did it out on the open field. It was supposed to promote fighting at objectives. No idea how much it was, though.

What was the reasoning behind removing Arena mobs? Encourage pre-40s to go into the lakes more?

a worthy change though, especially with the poor attitude held by people in the arena about KSing for the final hit/trolling in general. SH very very good at taking the last hits from a tank lol
