And slower than expected is fine. But not at the rate of one item per 2 months. You want to keep all players competitive, not, as we see, people going to lower tiers because they are getting farmed by geared up people in t4.
read over what you have said in this thread thus far; the tone in which you speak about people in groups, or how you equate anyone who puts some dedication into the game as a no lifer/no job etc.

I do not think this crowd has a problem with lack of progression. We were all stuck in t2 for almost a year, and in t3 for almost 6 months, and we still had strong numbers of people playing.

And one more thing;
Adding a 2 or 3 medallion drop per zone lock is not really going to make anyone get their gear that much faster. BUT it will help.
And anyway, is this not what will happen when everyone hits 80 on their 12th toon? At some point, everyone is going to be fully geared!

People in groups speak the same way about people not in groups. And I did not call anyone a no lifer. Not ever. There are people that can devote lots of time. And those that can not. There are people with no responsibilities who can devote 6 hrs a day or more. And there are people with responsibilities that can not. These are not condemnations, they are facts.

Well, I could put up the numbers of medallions that I have gotten on my archmage and sowrdmaster, which never got into double digits. Now, I have, between them, gotten 2 bags from keeps, both in tier 3. I don't go on the ram, because when I do, I see nothing. Not the usual little graphic I remember to tell me when to swing. I see nothing, so I let others take that. I don't step out into RvR unless I am in a group, so I don't get out as much as I wish. Groups are few and far between late night Central time zone United States.
Do not presume that others gain at your pace. There may be other factors influencing the rate, or some of us may just have that special kind of crappy luck on rolls.

You have to click ram, leave ram, and click it again for the ram UI to pop up usually.

I believe that no one flies in for the flips because renown currently, when rewarded from zone flips, is insignificant when compared to what sub renown rank 40s can earn from scenarios. A sub 40 can earn 3-6k renown from a scenario compared to the 2000. Additionally, renown, once acquired to the point where you can where all the annihilator pieces, does not matter. Renown rank 45, renown rank 50, it makes almost no difference because there is no higher level gear. If Conquer gear was released this would be a different story.

Medallions are so sought after because they are the currency which is used to by the, for many classes and builds, the ultimate end game gear. People will always look for the way in which they can capture the required currency in the simplest way to quickly acquire the gear they need. This is why I believe adding medallions to the zone flips would see a lot more people fly in.

Or alternatively it may result in more people participating, but then I think we would just see a large occurrence of x-realming and single side zerging. I expect that when a side gets near to a lock, people who play both sides can get the easy medallions and will switch and after a while, they will just zerg one side because they can obtain easy currency to get end game gear.

2000 renown is not insignificant for those 40+. It would take alot of scenarios to make that for instance. Medallions are of less value in the long run than renown I would say. I fly in for locks if I que for scenarios in the capitals and I see plenty of people doing it. If you do not want this behaviour I think you would have to remove all rewards but if you did that what would even be the point of the campaign once you have all your gear?

I play a WH and only level 32 so just attack doors and lord don't really get enough contribution to get a bag on roles. Not sure if there is more I can be doing. Maybe when get higher will pick up. In T3 when I got the higher levels of the tier would bolster and camp doors but atm not strong enough to be a threat.

I am in full dev gear and infl epics with t3 epic weapons with +17 tals. So think I am better geared then some entering t4. Did not mean to start the thread to star arguments I was jut playing last night and was involved in 4 area locks and was curious.

I get that at the current state of the game that anni is the end game gear. With how much each piece costs would have been nice to see some progression considering I haven't seen boots or gloves for any class drop. Also big issue, that others have already mention, you need the enemy faction to get drops. If no one to fight against no progression in gear. With the low drop rate doesn't help.

This game and this forum is governed by people with a "winners-take-all" attitude.

They perceive a more evenly distribution of wealth (i.e. medallions for all on zone locks etc) as weakness, a catering for the lazy and as an insult to those who "worked for it" (i.e. them).

I call them Trump-people.

Even EA realized early on that basic zone-wide rewards for all (both winners and loosers) were not a "catering for the weak", but a way of leveling the playing field, assuring progression and keeping people playing - and sticking to one side. Did it have abusers? Of course. Every system does. But so does the current one.

Fact is, this game is currently way more of a grind than it ever was on live.
