I don't use pots at this time, I just got back into the game a month ago so still assimilating information.
So armor pots don't stack with prayer, good to know. what is the amount of armor from a pot?
Since I don't use pots I tend to like the prayer, which is ~412 armor with no pts in salv which is a 16% increase for my armor. and it's 620+ armor with the tree nearly max. 50% more but only 7% net gain in armor at that point. doesn't seem like the difference between garbage and useful.

Use the jewelry
You got extra 210 armor and 25 init
Way to get them

It also provided good resist just in case you don't have enough.
AND YOU never HAVE ENOUGH. With spirit debuff, your resist will be down to 20%.
While high armor is nice, it is note that Mara can neglect about 50% of them with tactic, 70% with armor debuff
So it is nice to have extra toughness.
Just balance whatever you do.

Re: [Warrior Priest] 40/40 Build feedback
Gosh Its been forever since I played this game, back when I did I played 2h Wrath WP exclusively so I'm curious how main wrath fares nowadays. From what I recall didn't the Damage buff/heal debuff tactic originate from the Wrath tree? Curious what a good wrath build would look like now granted it doesn't suck, also curious if we still have that multi hit hammer swing that returned health on hits (forgot what its called). For now im taking your tree config Dabbart because I like it (and it seems the most 2H focused) the most but I would like to know what your RR setup is as I never got high RR in the game when I played. Thanks
Re: [Warrior Priest] 40/40 Build feedback
I don't play Wrath WP. But, if I did I would run something like this: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=wp; ... 4168:4169:
Since you aren't healing a lot, I think Leading the Prayer would be a must-have. Just guessing on Hammer of Sigmar. personally, I think it is a crap ability. I guess one could go http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=wp; ... 4168:4169: for the Wounds buff, but then Wrath tree abilities are lessened.
just try out a few different builds, and see what you enjoy. I wont go as far as to say "see what works" cause.. I don't think it will generally, but this is about Fun not Performance really.

Re: [Warrior Priest] 40/40 Build feedback
Thanks for the fast reply I'll look into it, but still curious what your RR buffs/passives are if you don't mind posting them. Ive been trying the Grace/Wrath tree you put up and Im really liking it but I was curious about stat spread. Im not familiar with how much Weaponskill/Strength/Willpower e.t.c. you want and what accessories you would pursue to that end. I assume you want strength and wounds with armor pen with Weapon skill? Curious if you bother with any toughness outside of passives from RR. Its been far too long since I played and just clueless on how to build my 2H Grace WP. Thanks in advance.Dabbart wrote:I don't play Wrath WP. But, if I did I would run something like this: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=wp; ... 4168:4169:

Re: [Warrior Priest] 40/40 Build feedback
For grace/wrath WP RR, I would think you'd want melee crit and Deft Defender, or Parry. You want to hit hard, and the dodge/disrupt will help you survive quite a lot.
As for items/stats STR/WS/wounds(with melee crit where-ever you can) I don't think it's possible to cap STR for a WP atm(might be wrong) so that should be all of your tali's etc. Once that's capped, yea go WS.
My theory on it is this: As wrath main you need to hit somewhat hard. You don't have the Grace of Sigmar tactic, so Divine Assault will be your main self heal. Soulfire as you close, smite when you have enough targets. Castigation, Sigmar's Fist mainly whenever you have the time or on a 1v1 or other smaller fight. With Sigmar's Vision and Absence of faith being your more utility based actions.
If you are looking for more of a Grace Spec, then Grace of Sigmar(11pt tactic) is mandatory. That becomes your spammable group healing attack. Wrath spec is more based around DPS and self healing, Grace more of a hybrid between group healer and DPS.

Re: [Warrior Priest] 40/40 Build feedback
Gotcha, I'm leaning more towards grace the more I learn about it as I feel it has more survive ability than wrath for 2H DPS. Your build even covers some of my favorite wrath abilities anyway. Also considering I won't have a pocket healer most of the time e.t.c. Is there a soft hard cap of stats listed somewhere or does the game tell you when you cap? Also curious on whether to worry about str/weapon skill spread while leveling to 40 or just slam str, curious on how you stacked talis while leveling up.

For full info on Stats, check out: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=965&p=9871&hilit=s ... dcap#p9871
But yes, the game does tell you when you have reached your cap, the color of the stat number changes.
Personally, I lvled my WP in pure healing. Since you don't get your grp attack heal until rank 30, melee spec is severly limited in what you can actually do until then. I think I Grinded SCs till about 27-28 then I just Grinded to 30, and once you get Sigmar's Radiance, you can Farm champs lvl 32 and below solo super easily. You technically can before then, but it can be rough at times.
My WP is full heal spec. I only use Melee when I am farming/grinding PvE. Melee equipment has +22-20 STR tali's in them, my backline has all armor tali's.
I highly recomend holding onto, and trying to get 2 set's of armor/equip, and have a 2nd set of tactics rdy to go(you can have like 10 different combo's prepared) if you can. Being able to swap gear to be able to heal will let you win/help in a lot of SCs that you wouldn't be otherwise. But your call. Double equipping can be rough:P but even if it isn't near to BiS or even top lvl, just having a 1h/book to swap too when you notice you are the only healer will be a godsend.
Oh, and one thing you should know though, you get the WP AoE detaunt for free if you are using a 2h hammer. You have to spend the mastery point if you are on 1h/book.
Gl!
