Yes it will improve your FPS, but to actually take advantage of higher FPS you need a 144hz monitor. No real point in pushing over 100fps if you monitors refresh rate is less than that.

120hz is also not bad. 4k@120hz or 4k@144hz will be the next best thing to consider an upgrad one day. But until we have 5k@120hz...

144 htz is smoothness overload if your gpu can put out enough frames per second *
have it now on my setup and never want to go back to 60 htz. the difference is huge if you are a lil graphic ***** like me.
