The hate for people hoarding boundless gear isnt that they have a lot of gold, its that they farm that gold for the specific purpose of gaining a gear advantage over other players (who spend 100% of their time in pvp not caring about farming). Thats why tyrant gear was so bad for the original game, and why warpforged was also bad, so the fact that gear advantages still exist on this server is not a good sign.

I got weird, brigand and boundless stuff while soloing (1 per type), and i never farmed in PVE with any of my chars. Not a single mob. (I hated LOTD as well on live, and I will hate it here too if it comes). Mind me, I am not even a hardcore player. So what? Stop spreading misconceptions.

I'm not sure what your ideal endgame is, based on your post. Gear imbalance will always exist to some degree, in that it's a measure of and reward for progression. While we want to make sure that progression curve is smooth and even, I don't think anyone on-staff wants to get rid of it completely. I might be reading more hyperbole in your post than you intended.

In general, the PvE sets were on-par with the RvR sets. In some cases, they were even better, but that's more of a side-effect of the direction the meta took post-launch, which Mythic couldn't have forseen. For example, Engineer DP gear goes BS/crit%/W, where Invader goes BS/W/T. I don't think Mythic expected that bomb/magnet engis would generally forsake speccing defensively, because "you can't get enough defense to 'matter.'"

But I think everyone is in agreement that Tyrant was generally stronger than Warlord for most classes. Worse, it made mixing Tyrant/Warlord the clearly better option, as the 6 and 7-piece bonuses for Warlord mostly weren't worth the opportunity cost. Combined with the jewelry/cape sets, this did prioritize PvE over PvP for most players, for a significant period of time. We'd like to avoid that.

I'm not sure how someone can "hoard" gear - can someone explain that to me? Are people stealing all the appropriately-leveled PvE mobs? It's not like there's a globally-limited number of them available. And again, the drop rate in PvP is between 2.5x and 10x higher than PvE. The tradeoff being that you probably get more kills per minute in PvE, so it might be more efficient. In any case, there's no requirement to farm in PvE to get the gear. Moreover, the only reason anyone cares about Boundless is because we released 35 before T4 was done. Once T4 is released and the tiers shift back to their normal level ranges, nobody is going to care about boundless - it'll probably be back to RvR influence, scenario, and epic quest weapons. Maybe lair drops.

See? You have 0 trust in people that tell you that things may be different from what you think. A screen means nothing, since I could have another 2-3-10 chars used for farming. Of course I touched monsters (sometimes to level when I was at like 90% XP), or to get Stalker gear, or to do the epic quests, but please believe me when I say that I never "farmed" champ rats, or other mobs in general. I just pvped for the 95% of my activity, solo or in guild WBs.

Don't know, maybe I wasn't clear: i said "I never farmed in PVE with any of my chars. Not a single mob". Means I haven't actively farming for the purpose of it or to drop stuff. I just killed the minimum required to do some stalker and the quest chains, no PQs or anything else. End of it. Take it or not, why would I lie? See ya
