Colour me inebriated, but i think its obvious (from a geographical standpoint) that the population sweetspot is the crossover between Euro primetime and NA logging in
There is some meaningful pop from early to mid evening USA time but the lack of Oceanic/Austrlasian population means late night NA gaming suffers population-wise
Europe has a strong MMO hungry appetitte, (so does Asian but there seem to be a lot of competitiors to dilute the playerbase)
There is no magic pill fix for this beyond there being further West voast America and early timezone Oceanic uptake

im from the US and have brought a couple of people in to play the game.
don't really have any ping issues here in the north east, nothing that makes any class unplayable. (i play mostly melee dps)
i know of a wider NA audience thats waiting for T4 to join the game.

Maybe that's it. Americans can be real wary of anything labeled Alpha/Beta and just want finished games it seems.
Even in WH40K: Eternal Crusade Alpha I think NA is actually the smaller population and it's a new game.

Maybe the devs could label this project as Delta Phase

Ping is unplayable over here. When are you going to open a US server?

Considering the devs pay for all of this out of pocket I don't think it will be any time soon. Plus you would need the population to support two servers which again the game does not have quite yet.

from my experiences na players tend to hop to whats new and leave the old in the dust. ive noticed a lot of games start off with more na or at least proportionately more servers by relative geographic pop but eventually that ratio of na to euro closes or inverts. it would take a lot of effort to get na players to come back to an older game. maybe free guns and hamburgers.

hey NA means canada too you know ;p
altho we do like hamburgers
pretty sure a hamburger/poutine duo would work well for eastern-ish canadians ;p
