It's not like the addon is exclusive for some people. What the addon does is cleaning up hotbars more then anything else. The ones oposing the addons i feel are more in the line with "Oh no it's gonna make people do better against me" Without takin into acount how it smoothens out the playing for alot of classes due to bad design.
If you wanna ban the addon it's fine by me, I barley use it. This is a complete objective opinion from me. I think it helps out with a couple of clumpsy mechanics and abillties. and clean up the hotbar. I'd rather see it stay tho,
Cheating is cheating regardless of whether or not it's available to everyone. Most exploits / cheats are in fact available to everyone. Would you argue that typing in cheat codes in Doom (IDDQD), StarCraft (ShowMeTheMoney) or Age of Empires (PepperoniPizza), wouldn't be cheating because the very same codes were available to everyone? How does that logic make any sense?
For me, it's not really about other people having an advantage, per say. It's more about honor and fighting fair. There's just something cheap about having a program essentially playing the game for you. If an MMO is all about pressing 1, 2, 3 and 4, and you only have to press 1 and 2 with NBs, then you have effectively halfed the skill-cap of whatever you're doing. This is why "easy" classes in MMOs and/or RPGs are called "faceroll": You could probably play the class by rolling your face over the keyboard. And w ith NB, you can make pretty much all the classes of WAR faceroll.
I think skill and dedication should be rewarded. Not the three clicks to download an addon. It is however important to note that the action of downloading and setting up addons themselves, IS a dedication, to some extend. But NB just takes the "advantage" a bit too far, if you ask me. Just my personal opinion.
