Simply amazing. There is an entire distinct thread under the High Elves with an Ocean of complaints on the grand folly of what is being done to Shadow Warriors, yet the above is what is changed. Scout got even worse and Grim Slash...irrelevant.Zumos wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2026 5:27 pm PTS Update 29/07/2026
Based on the feedback the team has received thus far, several adjustments have been made. You can find these below.
Balance
Shadow Warrior
- Festering Arrow: No longer able to cast on the move.
- Grim Slash: Strikethrough buff is no longer an Enchantment.

Kinda dismayed by these changes.
"The Assault SW has been turned away from a stance-camping playstyle with high passive mitigation and towards a more fluid high risk/reward hybrid range opportunist."
I'm good with high/risk reward, stance dancing, being a fluid hybrid and all that, but then give us the tools to survive in melee.
At the same time, SH can benefit from tons of passive armour defences AND passive damage from pet: the exact opposite of what you're doing to the aSW.
Simple fixes would have been:
- Remove +100 INI from assault stance, put back 2x armour. If not, do the following two:
- Increase 5s AOE detaunt to 10s
- Increase 5s Blurring Strike to 10s, so uptime can at least be 1/3, now half our armour is gone.
- Make Wrist Slash tactic +WS stack with +WS from Triumphant gear set proc.
P.S. nobody ever saw a problem with Grim Slash.

Thank you Zumos for listening to us.
I did a quick Magus test and I think it is fine now. It is still on the strong side. Magus/Engis really have nothing to complain about, it's going to be their time in the sun.
Here my quick feedback:
- Magus on the strong side but should be fine.
- Engi on the strong side but should be fine.
- rSH damage got a bit lowered, that's fine since they were really strong. Still good.
- mSH got a bit love. Pretty strong AOE (they were already decent before). Feels good.
- Scout SW: should be fine I think. Gotta see how they do on live.
- Skirimish SW: not fine. The AOE nerfs were really heavy. mSH feels a lot better, tankier with great tools and higher AOE damage/pressure. SW doesn't feel right. Please have another look.
- Sorc: very nice little buffs. Is good on live and will be even better. Still issues with high disrupts I think.
- BW: doesn't feel right. Please have a look at the feedback posts for single target and AOE BW:

So out of these 8, Id say 6 are fine, 2 need more tweaking.
On a side note since they are also rpds: dps Shaman does way too much damage on live for a hybrid. They have additional dps like Gork Sez Stop to stack on people. Please have a look at scenario results. There are also complaints about dps RP and Zealots being monsters in small scale.
Edit: forgot mSW: no more armor buff? ufff. What's the reasoning behind that? The mSH has now actually more than 100% armor bonus with the tactic and the base buff when there are no armor talis.

It's not just rDPS shaman. It's all rDPS healers that outperform in small scale: Shaman, AM, Zealot, RP. And I say that as someone who has a BiS RR86 DPS AM.
It's odd that WE/WH got some nerfs (and rightly so), whilst rDPS healers are left alone.
I feel that mDPS healers like DOK/WP are fine; they can be countered by kiting, mitigation and CC.

I do not like this change. I play my sorc as st and i really liked the utility that i provide for the group with wind woven shell. Good dmg reduction for myself and the whole group, that stack with other abilities and last whole 20 sec. Quite disappointing that we lose that cos of the cries from bombtard community.

Daemonic Withering: Damage increase reduced from 15% to 10%.
Surging Power: No longer affects Baleful Transmogrification.
Swift Flames: Reworked to: Whenever you cast Surging Violet Fire you become empowered, reducing the cast time of your next casted ability within 10 seconds by 25%. The cooldown of Surging Violet Fire is reduced by 5s.
Daemonic Consumption - Threshold for nearly guaranteed critical hits lowered from 50% to 30%.
Strange I dont see a Single Flare or Turret damage reduction for Engies...

it's right there if you read..

as for turret(s) they weren't changed in the same way as the daemons (pink horror got an execute and a tactic based snare for example, engi turret didn't get something like that). turrets got different buffs and function differently so they wouldn't receive the same update, naturally.

Re: [PTS] Patch Notes 23/07/2026 - RDPS Patch and New Scenario Mechanic
Can you walk back the sac stab nerfs?
It is in no way OP for organized play like was claimed. On average it does around 1500 with a glass cannon WE, and a BiS WE with 40% crit chance has just a 16% chance of getting a double crit where you see numbers around 3k, and that chance is lowered a lot if someone runs anti crit, which is common...
Solo WE is too much, but DPS WE needs help not nerfs compared to WH. Sac stab is horrible compared to burn away lies for organized play, it does low damage for a snare and the convenience of not needing a class to armor debuff for it... Burn away lies does around 4k tooltip, while sac stab is around 1.1k... at str cap.
If you guys are insistent on the changes, can you atleast make the DPS sov give +2 skill-points to path of suffering now, because getting that skill will be not be worth 13 mastery points...
Re: [PTS] Patch Notes 23/07/2026 - RDPS Patch and New Scenario Mechanic
If snare is bad in this form, how about changing celerity. Seems like a rather narrow view of a problem, while ignoring the fact that his very thing is already on weapons and on a popular healing class.Zumos wrote: Wed Jul 29, 2026 5:27 pm
