@Nanji, I challenge you to extensively play a 2h BG and honestly tell me that it doesn't feel ridiculous pissing away the KD. Especially after extensively playing a 2h IB, who is defined and glorified by Cave-In. I mean, i'm pretty sure one of you guys even has an IB called "Cavewin", you guys know what's up! hahaha, now could you imagine if the IBs had the KD on Cave-In taken away? It'd be completely absurd and that's how it feels when you play a 2h IB and then play a 2h BG. Yeah CD is pretty good, but it's not that good. Especially when utility AND survivability has to be sacrificed for it. I've yet to see someone named "Crimsonwin" haha. Again I'll say, the mirror doesn't have to make such a harsh sacrifice to go 2h, so why the hell does the BG? It doesn't make sense and it's a colossal balance error.

I am inclined to believe that any reasonable, logical, rationally thinking person who has experience playing both classes can sympathize with my stance on the issue.

I would suggest you to wait for a lvl cap raise. Right now you cant even play with CD and anti detaunt.
Yet you already complain.

Assuming I would play my BG on 2h and rock? What then? I invested time and I want sth for that, what do I get for wasting my time?

There you go. IB just cant really compete here and he doesnt have to. IB competes with SM and Kobs. :)
I don't think you can say that comparing mirror classes is a no-no.

I mean sure the BG has spammable aoe, but the IB has aoe on a fairly short cooldown that ignores armor.

The BG gets crit on hatred spent with a tactic, the same source as the IB gets it.

What you're saying at the end of the day is that the 2H BG shouldn't get a knockdown because they can't be detaunted. The SnB can't be detaunted in that build, and they have a knockdown. I find that logic flawed. Not to mention that tactic is in an entirely different tree.

Why exactly is playing a 2H BG a waste of time? Is there some flaw with them that makes them an inferior choice for someone who wants to play a 2H tank?

I've played them both at level cap, the 2h BG is still inferior to SnB and 2h IB. It's a valid complaint. The t4 offensive SnB build utilizes the anti detaunt better. I've said this already, I know what happens in t4.

If playing a 2h BG would constitute a "waste of time" that tremendously strengthens my argument.

While IB has DoTs ticking and dosnt do much burst compared to BG, they are much better in the long term

IB is superior in grp play because firstly they bring much more utility to a party with buffs that they dont lose access to by going 2h and in most cases dont have to spam out their resource like BG's do allowing them to stay at full grudge, and are much more survivable than BGs as their 2h spec path lets them naturally get grumble and mutter, BG spec path in 2h does not let you get bolstering anger.

You say they have guard, but 2h tank are very lack luster at mitigating guard dmg with only parry

I am saying he shouldnt get a KD because going 2h means you decided already to trade utility for dmg.
Then you only have to compare him to the other dest 2h tanks of whom only chosen has the KD, or a horrible 2h BO.
Giving him KD would shift the balance of dest 2h tanks heavily towards 2h BG being without any doubt the best 2h tank on dest side.

I don't think you can say that comparing mirror classes is a no-no.
Why? Is it important that ib has kd when you build your grp for the evening? Wont you play SH because SW beats you 1on1?

The ib ae sucks, the BG ae is amazing. It is even in the right path. :P

Doing sth to prove you wrong is a waste of time for me so I would want sth from you in return.

Make a "War" argument:

Melee SW seems inferior to range SW, give melee SW more utility!!!!!
My 2h kobs doesnt have dirty tricks!!!!! and not enough tactic slots to maintain utility while doing dmg. *mimimi*

Same kind of arguments, still no sense.

Also you say you ve played sth and it sucks, well, silvermf played mara and it sucked too. :D :D
