People are now trying to get a consensus for other changes to 2H.
Literally this, besides constant bias banter in between the pages here and there, that totally discouraged Az. to bring up discussions and address any issues down the line, unless they are considered obviously completely gamebreaking. ;)

And the theorycraft behind the objection got withdrawn after it was realised that ability damage includes offhand.

it seems that some people struggle in terms of understanding specific posts of mine. to clarify: my explanation was not based on one class i detailed which classes in general are affected and i talked about the possible future meta game and issues i might see. hell even the word archetype was used. if a wl is considered as an archetype these days, idk...

10% parry on all 2h weapons and make WL dual wield if its possible. Just my 2 cents. If this makes the game too unbalanced just forget this idea.

really looking forward to coordinated strikes with dw and an active dmg prayer in group or flames of ruin. combined with trained to hunt proc and multiple pet hits in one global it would definitely be fun. but jokes a side, there is a reason why wl is restricted to 2h. burst was just not the way to go in the rr100 def meta and wl relies on his. the main problem is that people dont realise that we dont play WAR like it was. even tho it feels the same and looks the same, the meta game will change and thats for sure. ppl are just to stubborn to realise we are not on live. that's why i say no to buffs/nerfs most of the time and suggest to w8 for t4 and see where the meta game goes to. once we have it there is enough time to balance it perfectly and i am sure our dev team has the right mindset and does a great work.

2 handers already provide better frontload dmg, then 2 wield, with 2hander you can get 1k+ dmg procs from AA,instead they should reward the player that pics correct targets, and that actually hits players on the back, if you give it a parry stricktrough, and a 10% value at that, you are simply dumbing down this option, when there's no need for it.

Just to sum it up, making a balance change like this, that actually helps bad players (not hiting target on sides or back) do a better job is a bad change.

I agree with you to a degree. The meta is not the same and our testing pool is much smaller than live. But there are certain balance issues, 2h being 10% strike through not being one of them, that can be addressed before the t4 meta. Mainly Kotand book wp/dok, and engis

Trying to get behind the target will still be rewarding: just 10% parry striketrough is not even close to take out block chance and parry chance completly.
Still would like a slight crit damage/chance buff as dual wield (apart from 10% parry bonus) give better sustain damage and chance to proc (resulting in significative dps increase).
If 2h setup must be the less defensive approach (as it is now), then it must be a bit better in term of offence.

In live, the 10% Block strikethrough applied only to melee attacks and auto-attacks from tanks and melee dps. Ranged attacks didn't receive any strikethrough bonus, regardless of class.

The auto-attacks of sorc, BW, and AM did not receive the block strikethrough bonus. If you look at the animations they wield their staffs with one hand on auto-attacks. Maybe that is why they didn't receive the strikethrough bonus. I didn't check the AAs of rune priests or shamans for block strikethrough.

P.S. This is a reply to posts from Mursie and others who asked about sorc/bw ranged attacks.

With regard to the initial proposition, the biggest difference would be in 1v1s between melee classes where neither player can get the other's back. In this case, a 10% parry strikethrough is going to buff the 1H toon's damage by about 15%. Is that game-breaking? I don't know. If you think it is, why not first try a 5% parry strikethrough and see how that goes?
