It isn't anymore. Its one of the files it downloads.

It looks like you are having the same problem as I am where the server is not providing an ACK to your SYN. What A/V firewall are you using? Just curious if we are using the same.

Amazon server? we don't use amazons servers.

A fix should be a applied server side to the grey button issue.

Is it normal for it to keep downloading the manifest everytime I start the launcher?

Also I have to download 3455 files??

For the first 3-4 times yes.

Just took two re-launches for me and everything worked fine.

Yes. It should download 3455 files and then be buggy when you go in game. Then if you close the game and restart the launcher it will download 500 files. Then it should be golden.

The reason for all the files downloaded is because the distributed client was damaged at some point and lost files.

a short summary of my experience:

- started the client and it downloaded/checked a lot of files
- had the infinite loading screen on the second char i logged into
- restarted the client and it downloaded/checked some files again

working like a charm since then, also with a heavily customized interface with a lot of addons
