Give it up peterthepan3, its #2016, god damn it, and people want matchmaker to fix pug groups, not the other way around :D

that is weird tbh, there was just someone else mentioning, that the buff was too small to make a difference :P This buff will not make a team win, just make them lose less badly if you have a look at the way it's calculated. What it might do is make the fights last a bit longer and that feels better than being steamrolled.
1) There will always be people that don't know any better. These people could do with some visual help/information (the screenies when zoning should be changed, or updates on the forum). However, if people just participate in the forums a bit more (THE SERVER'S FORUM) they'd find most of their queries answered.
The loading screens are client side, so not related to the server(and will not likely ever be touched), so that is not an option. Participation in the forum requires time, something most people would rather not waste reading stuff that is not relevant to them. You can not expect people to spend hours on research when they did not even get a guild or group yet - that is the wrong order.
2) That's why you make friends and make a guild! Or you make the group. My main is a Magus and I get into groups when we roam scens etc. It IS harder if you're a worse class, but not impossible. You could simply make another class too (I have several because of aforementioned reasons)
Getting started is the issue, you need a place to meet people INGAME and get to know them - being farmed and steamrolled is not helpful for that, but noticing the KotbS, that switches guard well in a pug(once it's buffed with extra time to live) is easier.
3) If you barely have time for one scenario, then I dunno if this is the game for you.
It's a fact of life, that noone with a job can spend hours each day on a game reliably and scenarios are exactly the short duration pvp-engagement, that can be put into such a buisy day.

@Scrilian I'm just trying to improve the quality of avaible fights :P

i do understand where you coming from. As an average, yet very active player, i still welcome the matchmaking. It just motivates me so much more queueing scs even if none of my guildies is on.

I've been playing the class since live. It's not a bad class, it just gets outperformed by every other DPS in 6v6. That's a fact. It offers nothing outside of rift/stagger. I played ST Magus back on live and you -could- do reasonably well with it, but your burst was like 60% of what a Sorc could do. DoTs need to be more threatening!

Solo is pretty much all I did with the Magus nearer the end of WAR. It's an amazing solo class, but has no bearing on 6v6 (which all classes should be balanced towards, imo.)

That is already a few steps too far ahead :P don't try to take 10 steps instead of the first one :D

The point is meeting, as in passive, to get people started on building a group - noone starting off will directly use the LFG-Channel, because they don't know what they can do and they don't know what they need. Once you got a duo, that usually opens up for growth, so that it can turn into a group.
