For the DPS SnB, may I ask that stats you are focusing on?Gobtar wrote:Here are my different builds that I enjoy playing
SnB DPS [Role: Off tank, High pressure] (mid-low utility, mid survivability, high damage)

Pros, you can guard easily thanks to your shield (Guard damage cares not for toughness or armor), you don't have the AoE snare or the Morale pump, so make sure you have a Def Chosen. Loss of aoe snare hurts but is managable if party has high damage output.
2h DPS [Role: lesser- Off tank, Snare bot, Spike damage] (mid Utility, High damage)

You get the AoE snare which is pretty amazing, but you are a giant target, you are more DPS then tank, you can guard when needed, but you wont survive long under guard damage, need a dedicated primary tank who can float guard.
Zerg buster [Role: Solo tanking, Zerg busting, grinding[ (Utility, Low damage, tactics for Solo Grinding)

This build is hilarious. You can survive a serious pounding, and thanks to skull thumper and shatter enchantment you can still be a menace. Keep things snared, KD only when necessary. Can't hit me is great for mitigating a train of damage on your guarded target but only use it when you are being focuse and need help, the real gem here is Immaculate D. Cycling with a chosen means you can take on numbers, you have no business fighting.
This build buys tactics that aren't used, that is for the PvE solo grinding, and keep defence loudmouth shenanigans.

I have always played SnB DPS but i decided I will give 2H a go, however I only know the loldps way. Thought maybe 2H defensive could be fun.
1) If you're going SNB, I think loudmouth is better than SYG as it procs almost all the time - regardless of crit or not - and is roughly an extra 200- dmg consistently.Hello again fellow Borcs,
I’ve been sinking a lot of time into Black Orc and I wanted to get some info from people with better experience.
What are some good tactic setups if I want to utilise YSMBD as a DPS SNB? Stab you Gooder & Gork Smash are a given since they are staple tactics for doing damage with T’ree hit combo. Normally I’d also slot Good Wiv Shield and all renown into block to have a nice solid 29-31% block rate.
Now comes the issue with the last tactic slot. Normally I would slot Big Brawlin in the last slot because it’s so damn useful. But I feel I should drop this for YSMBD but then I don’t have that juicy snare spam tactic. Anyone else have any experience with slotting YSMBD into a DPS SNB build? I’d like to be able to utilise YSMBD within the build without having to fully spec and slot my character for it.
If I am going to drop Big Brawlin for YSMBD then should I just respec and pick up the 9 point KD instead?
Thanks[
1) It was rearranged so that the knockdown became more accessible to different builds. Given that CHM is only really good in PvE, most will agree this was a buff.1) Can't Hit Me, this used to be 9 points in the Toughest tree didn't it? When did it move up to 13? Really miss this from my build as a way to ease the stress for the healers, it was irritating enough on live that WODS on the SM was core, but now I can't get it at all
2) Block in general, gear levels were higher on live naturally, but I recall having between 50-60% block. On RoR I have 31%, despite using the 10% tactic (which I never ran on live), 7% from Ruin and 10% from RR. That puts my basic block level at 4%, which can't be right surely? Even with a lower gear level that's one hell of a big drop, has there been some big change to block rates in RoR I'm not aware of?
It does have it's uses in PvP, if you're low on HP it can buy time for a heal, useful for preventing guard damage or holding a tank wall etc, but overall I do agree it's main use is PvE ... to the extent it really would make more sense as a core ability rather than 13 point (top of the tree ones should be really useful after all, to make it worth the points investment and cut off from so many builds), but oh well.peterthepan3 wrote: 1) It was rearranged so that the knockdown became more accessible to different builds. 2) It's probably just gear. Get the block cloak from BFP lair, block green belt (think its enervating?), ruin, block in rr, a good shield with 2% block from scenarios, block tactic = more than enough block for current game.
