The rewards for zone locks are a completely different beast imo. Bag rolls should either be changed drastically or completely removed. Give us currency with which we can buy whatever gear we want. I never really liked, or even looked at RvR as just one massive PQ, but you can have 200+ people participating. I don't even understand why the original devs made it like that, a one big raid I guess. I think we should move on from that age old system, and come up with new ideas. But I'm not saying that devs are not already thinking about something, who knows :)

I accept that work has gone into the lower tiers and you guys dont want to see it wasted. But I dont want to see purple bags drop in tier 2 and instead of a 40 getting a BiS weapon in the rolls, some level 18 gets some shitty drop that will last 5 levels.
There are no bags for ppl with rank 31+ in T2 and T3, so you can remove that concern from your list. Let them have their shitty drops for 5 levels, why do you care. Rewards from T2 and T3 that T4 people can use are listed on the infographic Yali posted earlier - Seals for sets I linked earlier, seals you can use to boost your RR gain with potions, whatever RR and medallions you drop from killing people. Also, those zones are small and fast paced, even more now after I reduced timers previously.

Mid tier population will get more ppl there to help them level up faster and have more fun. If you don't want to have fun and all you play for is BiS gear then probably nothing will convince you to play the game till the drop system is changed. And it will be.

Btw is the "renown gain boost" potion still vanishing in real time hours?
Any chance of making it spent-in-game hours?

Because as it is now, with finished Overlord set for my main, reasons to keep debolstering are somewhat limited. :)

My rank medalions or people who I kills rank? Even I have some spare recruit medalions I dont want left over :)

Rewards are everything. No one plays for the sake of it, if you think people do then you can't remeber the drought in T3 when doors were broken. RR boost potions, Aza would be spinning in his sleeping bag. How much do the sets cost? Obviously nothing is final, but I'm sure you have some prelim prices.

People you kill, but as everyone fro T2+ will be in one zone I'm sure you will find some worthy opponents.

I code and play this game for the sake of it, not for a reward, so your 'no one' argument is invalid. You may already stop using it, as this is not the first time.

Costs and prices should be in wiki, both sets and potions were introduced several months back. If not there you can check them in game.

Cost for Overlord/Imperator sets is 300 T3 seals and 500 T4 seals (150/250 each). Got tanks and mdps listed on wiki.

through this process players learn game mechanics.
you don't need it doesn't mean game don't need it.
plus, t2+t3 is about 50% of game map.
don't you think it's good resources to use?
how shallow game would be if there was only t4 zones.

In theory, I agree.

In practice, most people have played the game, know what to expect, want to get involved in T4 asap and avoid the ghost tiers of T2/T3. No matter how many incentives are added, it will not change the fact that the server has a limited population in recent times (as sad as it is to say), and the lower tiers will always be considerably emptier than the endgame.
Please don't make reasonable posts that make sense. I hate agreeing with you ;).
I think PvP in t2 is worth as much as chapter 14 PQs. Once its done its done and people should have a choice to check it out or skip it completely.

so just give up and accept slow death?
completely block new players access and abandon half of game contents?
what you are saying is exact same reason devs are making changes.
some of you choose 'why bother' path and devs not.
that difference is like quitter and runner.
and now quitters asking runners 'why run?'
that's what bothering me.
run with them or quit silently. don't drag them with u.

ps. quit means stop trying to change direction of developement.

I'm actually a returning player, using this thread to gauge whether or not the plans extend further than the next 5 minutes. If you don't plan how everything you do can be broken down then you lure yourself into a false sense of security that you are always right. Just ask Azareal (RIP) ((I'm not dumping on him he did a lot of work for the server so relax wargrimmer ;) ))

I don't know what you mean give up and accept a slow death, how much busier would the server be if everyone who had their accounts wiped were able to come back and jump into t4 in a couple of days instead of dragging everyone else backwards. BUT this isn't about making the server come to life. It's an event that could be very cool. I'm sure to check out t2 just for nostalgia. for maybe a day. Then after that I will SC until the campaign is in t4 or there is some special action in t3.

We will see. Fingers crossed.

Lad, Aza is not dead. He isn't currently active though. So please don't use RIP.
