This.
Although WH were already strong end T3, one of the few classes posing a real threat to my Magus back then if I was jumped on.

Indeed that it surely was. No need to even gather any finisher points for that burst. Just press the WB button and WHAM things exploded miles ahead of you. Thank goodness this is not that dimension.

WB is a finisher you have to build up points for it and the number of points used is the number of procs you get maxing out at 6 procs with 5 points 2 procs at 1.

Indeed, in this dimension that is the case.
Edit: It was a sarcastic take on the fact that someone previously made it sound like you just need to slap that skill on to make things not exist anymore. But it just is not that simple.

RIP Witch Elf 19.04.2016
the WB nerf was too much and the WE will now be some mediocre dps with no benefits in any kind of party. The WB version we had until a few days before made here viable bc she was able to outshine the green mongo (choppa) in terms of damage peaks while the mongo had higher sustain and better defensive tools. Now the choppa just sh*ts on her in all aspects. also she is for sure not able to compete whether with the marauder nor the melee dok who both provide a lot more utility for your group.
When taking a WE into a group setup she should provide higher damage peaks than medium armor classes due to her incredible low defense. Yet she can't. Nevermind how many people think she will be an viable pick in T4 group setups, she simply won't. She might become (again) a decent solo class, perfect to instagib some pugs but in a serious group environment she will end up as the magus of mdps.
rerolled already but still hoping to get this nerf reverted once T4 and balance forums are up...
ps: i will be way more specific there. right now it is just pure salt :^)

I played WE through 2012 and 2013 and there was no internal cd on Withbrew then. It triggered off every hit and the 6 ticks of WB would be used up in the first few gcds.
Except there was. And nydig linked a video showing it.[/quote]
I just did a Youtube search and found a video that Nydig made in 2011. It shows that there was no measurable cd on Witchbrew. For example, have a look at the fight against the kotbs that starts at around 3:47 on the video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqUU7vpoMyk
Nydig activates WB at 3:54-55. It first triggers immediately after Heartseeker is used at 3:55. Immediately, there is a main-hand aa and WB triggers off that as well. So there were two clear uses of Witchbrew inside of 1-second. Following this, it triggers off a couple of AWs and another aa. Again a couple of those occur within a second of each other.
Note that it does not trigger of the Wracking Pain dot ticks because those are not hits. The Wracking Pain hit was delivered before WB was activated. Nor does it trigger off the Kiss proc because that does not count as a hit, it is a proc off a hit from an ability or aa. It did not trigger of the parried AW because the ability did not hit, it was parried.
So the Nydig vid clearly shows that there was no internal cd on WB. This was exactly as I remembered. It procs off every hit.
Perhaps your misunderstanding is due to what your interpretation of a hit is. A hit is not damage, it is when an ability hits. For example, when a dot lands, that is a hit. The ensuing dot ticks are not hits. Procs are not hits, they are proc off a hit from an ability or aa. For a WE, the application of a stealth barb is a hit and triggered WB. Every one of the ensuing ticks were not hits and did not trigger WB. Direct damage and aa abilities were hits and triggered WB, as Nydigs video showed. The initial application of Wracking Pains is a hit and triggered WB. The ensuing dot tickss are not hits and did not trigger WB.
Edit: I'm pretty sure it wasn't triggered by off-hand auto-attacks, only main-hand auto-attacks.
