every class has 3 mastery trees (for a good reason). nobody in WAR is forced to play one fcking spec who is determined by the pugs - those who lack knowledge anyway -. if the guy who plays the class enjoys his spec and if he can make it work, ffs be quiet or get a group which fits to your ideals.
Thread was sparked by new armor sets, for some reason the duelist sets are DPS versions for dok/wp and AM/Shaman so there is a massive influx of people playing these specs mostly solo queing in scenarios. 90% of whom are DPS AM who refuse to use their mechanic or ability to heal and cause a lot of ass pain order side.
And even when you use your mechanic properly as an AM your healing is pretty trash and unreliable, I think more than just small tweaks are needed to make them viable for group play and even more so for shaman.

This has to be emphasised. What the people complaining about archetype violation don't get is that the DPS AM or DPS Shaman
player himself is not a healer. You try to force him to play a healer by removing the spec? He won't play the heal spec -
he will reroll. Therefore absolutely nothing is accomplished by trying to gut class off-specs.
This whining about DPS healers (and sometimes DPS tanks) is only valid when it appertains to those specs not being good enough to compete with others. If those specs are indeed viable, as Bretin claims, there is no reason at all for this thread to exist.

If healers want to DPS spec, give Choppa/Slayer healing spec, 'coz, we are violating archetypes here, etc :/

There's fine line between viable and minmaxing/full potential. I don't mind dps healers or 2h tanks or anything and I won't complain about them in chat but would I rather have everyone tryhard just like me? Sure, but I understand not everyone enjoys that and everyone can play whatever they want.
The moment you stop caring about what randoms are playing the more you will enjoy this game. Find a clan, start queueing as a group. Playing solo and relying on randoms is pure masochism when it comes to RoR.

This is how its done and nothing can change it really.
In pugs people do play whatever they want even if it sux and it makes you mad, this is how the game is and it was like this in live also.
So if someone is having fun as a dps shaman or AM or whatnot its cause they want to have fun, and what i know mmorpgs are made to have fun and not do what you are told except in premades and guild etc.

If you think that is meaningful enough to assume you guys could compete, man up and let's see how a 6vs6 will end or judge the sc's we have a group in. i really cba to talk about lost sc's everytime it happens, especially not when we crush every single premade on the server once we have a srs group up. now let's stop it and settle it ingame, if you are ballsy enough because this is pointless
