Here is my expereince this week, I rolled a SH, Tuesday after work, and now he is Rank 29/RR 29. I have all my stalker gear, have one of SC weapons, and I have two piece devastators. Also this is the first toon that I had full Obliterator and Decimator in the appropriate tier. I never felt like it was a grind as I was actively PvPing (from lvl 1o onward). I also made 200 gold, which i used to outfit my self with good talismens and bought enough potions to last me a good long while. I have played the SH a total of 24 hours.
This is anecdotal, but take it how you want.

Ok - so on Tuesday Afternoon to Saturday morning (the time of your post) a total of 3.5 days have gone by. At 24 hours of game play that is 6.8 hours of play each day on the SH. You took a fresh SH from lvl 0 to lvl 29, made 200 gold, purchased 2 piece devastator, an SC weapon, and got all stalker gear in 3.5 days - oh - and got full decimator and obliterator in their appropriate tiers.

I just can't believe it. Either you are a Euro player and this really emphasizes just how drastically different euro time zone is to NA... or you have to be fabricating.

T2 and T3 are orvr dead for NA time zones on weeknights.. There would be no way to level and get the medals needed to buy orvr gear. Further, without powerleveling during that time frame... there is not enough sc activity to actually level a toon in that time.

Just absolutely crazy. I need to move to europe.

I play generally around 2-3 hours a day, and the 4 SC games I'm referring to were lost, in fact I think every SC game I've played since hitting level 31 (around 20 at least) have all been lost. And it's really demoralizing to always lose them..

Protip; join a party with balanced DPS, tanks and healers, and queue as a party. Play together, focus targets, protect your allies, ???, PROFIT!

Play as a healing WP until you get the right gear/group, otherwise you may spend the rest of your time demoralized.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't play a DPS WP, I enjoy playing my DPS DoK. All I am saying is that if you don't have the gear for your DPS WP, you will die A LOT!!! So, the easiest way to get gear is to play as a healing WP, but only until you get geared.

P.S. Being that I play on Destro, I'd prefer that you keep playing your under-geared WP as DPS.

Play the way you like. DPS WP is good in 1on1/smallscale and bad in most scenarios/warbands.
The issue is when you complain that you have no success in Scenarios, can't find a premade and get no tokens in oRvR. If you want to play DPS WP then live with the consequences
