Which is why I cant understand how this game died :( some of the best PvP/RvR ever.
Really?

As I recall there was lots of reasons and other games companies would benefit greatly by looking at what happened, when I bought the game, for me and many others, the game was at the beginning, quite unplayable, the lag at highpeak was unbelievable, it took them alot of time to fix the lag issue, when the had finally stamped it out, a bit more than ½ the player base had moved on to other games. This was also during the time where WoW released Return of the Lich King and many who had come to WAR from WoW, had returned to WoW.

Expansions, there where at the beginning talks of other major cities that would open up, but all we got was Land of the Dead and at the near end of game, the option to play a skaven, even free-to-play games gives more back to the community which is the backbone of any game.

Now, I loved this game and looking at these pictures is painful, at the same time, I remember the endless running up and down the same stupid maps and as the game lost its subscribers, the only action was in T1 and T4, T2 and T3 had no action at all - I believe it started to die at the same time as they changed the criteria for locking zones, at the beginning it took a concentrated effort from both PvP and PvE players, in the RvR lakes, Scenarios and Public Quest to lock a zone, later it was only RvR, most players playing PvP have little or no lust to play PvE - that is why Land of the dead was such an epic failure as those who wanted mainly PvE had been rooted out already.

I am still amazed that the game lasted as long as it did, a game with virtually nothing new to offer should not be able to hang on for more than 2-3 years at most, WAR lasted for 5.

For me end game has to be fighting other players and I don't talk about zerg fiestas. Sure WAR was filled to the brim with roaming empty zones and boring doors but when it sparkled man how the ol lady SPARKLED. The high of good team play and epic fights at least was my fix even when our captain told us we sucked and rage quitted because we had a bad night. I sure miss those grumpy tells.

On a serious note WAR isn't expansions or new content it is enemies and friends. This is why I miss WAR.
A reasonable RvR system that could make the majority happy http://imgur.com/HL6cgl7

That not a fair judgment on casual players. I am one of the casual players and I play my characters very well. There is many good casual players that know how to play the game very well.
