Coryphaus: as I said: it was fun. Build you've posted is still viable with shield. Sure, your dps contribution will be less, but you can block/kd/act as proper guard. And you need to invest in RR/talis for some str or every melee/WP will parry most of your attacks and also invest some points into parry/WS etc).
To be clear: I'm not saying BG is weak or useless, but in 2H contest he's a gimp compared to other destro tanks. Your 2H build (as much as I like it and probably used it sometimes) does not inlclude only 2H skill BG have, so only thing glaive brings to the game is increased AA dmg, like all classes using 2H, nothing more. Still all BG tried 2H when they felt little bored of *****-dmg-heal-debuff-guard-bot role

Is the Ironbreaker currently able to do as much burst as the Black Orc or is it just more suited with utility that isn't stripped if you carry a 2h?

black orc has the bigger burst but atm its really only from one ability (down you go) and your crit rate n dmg dosnt become more noticeable till your get gork smash tactic
ibs dmg comes from dot n crits of binding grudge, heavy blow, cave in etc

So IB is more spread out, and Black Orc is Building up to ONE BIG ability and then waiting for its cooldown to come back?

Ironbreaker burst is very substantial as you have heavy front end damage from heavy blow and you have 3 dots ticking from Cave-In, Binding Grudge and Heavy Blow.

Wl is the best class ever and it only uses two handers. The end.

WL is easily the highest burst damage 2H class at this level range lol. Maybe the OP should just play a lion.

I am Looking to play a new class, but I found myself stuck because wherever I looked there seemed to be people saying if you play 2H you are severely gimping yourself for little reward. I wanted to know if that's the actual truth. I tend towards tanks since they are the majority of classes that can hold them.
Talking pure dps classes I get the WL is a solid class, but it never really interested me and it doesn't really have a choice in the matter. The classes that do are the ones I wanted to focus on because wherever I look it sounds like their 2H weapon build was lack luster or wasn't competitive/useful. That's the way it seemed when most people posted about it anyway. "Yeah you can do it, doesn't mean you should." kind of answers were what I was reading.
That being said Choppa/Slayer seems like something I may want to try out, but I'm scared of being very squishie for not much more benefit than a tank with a DPS spec would be able to accomplish.
As well as WP being able to carry a big ole hammer around, are they just backline healers or can they be made into more of a hybrid, that can be effective at either but not excel at any?
