And i hate posts like this, saying any class can be good when it is a fact KotBS and IB >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SM when it comes to group play. Yes, SM is incredibly fun in 1v1 and can beat anyone, but in group play? They are the worst tank in the game.
Our time will come...

GIMME YOUR BUILDZ

seriously tho, Grulo and Eiger what recommendations do you have for a noobie SM (built him after I hit rr40 on my main(s) . Im gonna be mostly soloing and/or duoing with a WL or AM.

I would do this for duoing with AM: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=sm; ... 9:2878:0:0:

You have more protection for yourself thanks to PoH and AA (shouldn't be taking much guard damage anyway if the AM is a decent kiter), and your Spirit debuffs (WoH and Heaven's Blade) stack, making the DPS AM very, very happy.

For WL i would go with this: http://waronlinebuilder.org/#career=sm; ... 9:2878:0:0:

PD will help avoiding guard damage. And the KD will be really useful for killing enemy healers (since WL's don't have a heal debuff yet).

For soloing i would go with the KD spec as well.

Any class is viable you just have to learn your limits, just dont forget your still a tank, spec full parry from renown trainer so you can negate alot of guard damage, str and wounds seems legit for where the game is right now.

For further advice on beeing awesome ask wingz/osmium. :)

If your running a premade and fighting randoms it wont show that bo/sm is lacking, what they bring is an aoe punt which can save someone from being zerged and a no cooldown snare with clunky mechanics, everything else can be done better by other tanks.

Also let me add i play a blorc myself here and did so to renown 100 on live (the real way no insta 100 pot) and the amount of times i say in ts if only i was a chosen or bg to punt the guard away. Still is fun to play snb dps can get some nasty burst but that is not really a valid reason for comparing a "tank".

I read what you wrote, so tell me how those 6vs6 show that bo/sm is lacking.

i think, this combo of tactics + renown focused on parry+dodge/distrupt cannot be bad in t3-t4
