Tbt these fickle rules in war are really dam annoying, black orcs would be a lot stronger in grps if armor buffs like we iz bigger and da greenest and stuff stacked

To be precise, they stack with armor pots. Whether they stack with armor buffs from other classes needs to be verified by a long time engi/magus player. I always used potions.

Ok so I just hit 31 with my BO. My tank was a BG on live, so I wanted to switch it up.

What build advice do you have if i'm looking to go 2hander with good survivability. Obviously need to get parry as high as possible. I'm thinking I need to keep Down you go, but at 31 I won't be able to get the other crit+parry tactic in the dps line.
Let me know your thoughts.

Patch 1.3.4 removed FJ stacking with most armor buffs as a bugfix and then 1.4.4 brought back stacking with all other armor buffs as a balance change.

You could do that but, you might as well just go all the way and get down you go insted of NiDF for some hard CC, tbt i prefer right now to go up the brawler tree any way and get tree hit, NiDF, gork smash and slot Gork smash, stab you gooder and rugged but im playing DPS BO though quite frankly thats the only thing BO is good for atm

I'll definitely try that as well but I'm not sure how to balance defensive and offensive stats when it comes to 2h tanks. Should I just go full strength? 50/50 with survivability?

I should have elaborated i play DPS BO but with SnB, because while i can still do good dmg due to crit chance/dmg furthermore i run with a mara who is slotting deeply impaled so i have 30% base crit chance on a target with tree hit combo.

I have survive ability with shield and some utility with various abilites like hold the line as well as you missed me and other tactics down the line like you sez me blok dat

I personally feel that there are really only 2 ways to spec bo

The order you spec is up to you, but i prefer to go up brawler first to buff up stat steal, black orcs dont bring a lot to the table in terms of group utility but stealing initiative increases a targets chance to be crit which is pretty nice
