I feel sorry for the regular Destro players whose faction was hijacked by the regular Order players who switched to improve their chances of farming medallions.
HOWEVER!
There had to be a time when you were standing there outside the umpteenth keep with your 4+ WBs with zero Order in sight taking yet another RvE zone lock. How could you not see the flaw and the abuse in the system? We're here to test the system. You tested it (and rogue Order exposed a flaw) and it was eventually removed until a fix could be implemented. You honestly feel entitled to keep your ill gotten gains? I logged in and sat in the SC queue for a little under 2 hours without a single pop. ALL of the Destro were making use of the flaw while it was still active knowing it would be addressed. You hoped it would be just stopped and not completely removed. It was the latter. Now you're pissed off.
You weren't Destro steam rolling Order and earned the medallions. You were Destro and Order players steam rolling nothing and merely gained the medallions.
As I said at the start, I feel for the regular Destro players however 15 hours later I have no sympathy for you losing what you never earned.
Soo... just take out the PvE Component on keeps that failed on Official anyways and put down those Keep-Flags, that you can actually CONTEST, even with just a few people? Better chance for the underdog faction than trying to keep your Attacker from killing some idiot-level NPC. Again. People feel entitled because they had fun doing it and spent a lot of TIME on that, that could've been spent elsewhere. Order has been going hard for days, maybe weeks, it's normal people grow tired of that. I doubt you'd have bailed out of the Situation right there, if you're a regular Destro-only player, like me. You'd be pissed. Again, taking those Pieces or Tokens does nothing, since it doesn't provide a fix. The Snowballing that caused that is not fixable and the Devs and certain other individuals don't seem to get that and are just ignorant about it. Let it flow and see where it leads the Game at T4, then you can worry about solutions. The Alpha-Argument doesn't work either. The Game's been done before and failed. The Server has quite a good amount of passionate and recurring visitors, this is far from being an Alpha anymore. How long do they want to brush of any little whipe as a fix to some Alpha/Beta Problem? At this pace we'll be out of Alpha and into Beta in 2 years, with everything released and fixed and people still calling it... a Beta? Or what? If it's an Alpha, limit it down to Players that actually contribute or are willing to contribute, that also counts in Discussion or criticism. Players who just bend over and take it up their asses don't help anyone improve anything either. There's not one single problem with this situation, it's several, as mentioned ingame:
- There was no warning, other than from some nerdraging Order guy named after whatever you dump in your toilet! What a trustful source, RIGHT?!
- I can say myself, that there's probably a bunch of people (mainly those that fixed themselves to the Destro faction instead of snowballing around between both) who really enjoyed this eventful blast of a night. If you get forced to being an underdog by Xrealmers, this is a BIG change for US. And hell, as the Dev present said himself: It was well-balanced and Destro was kicking ass and that's what caused it to Snowball towards Destro. We showed once, that we can take the Order, regardless of better Tactics and strong key abilities being available so early and fought against that slight imbalance in T2. Feels pretty good when you're invested and there's nothing bad about investing into an MMO, it's a long-term thing afterall.
- On the other hand and this goes both ways, for and against the complaints to this "Fix"(/whipe)..: It's **** T2. T4 (aka Endgame) is where **** starts counting for those who want to be competitive, so just hand the players some candy here if we're going to wait for the Devs to work things out. Nothing that happened this night, hurt the most important, core part of probably most MMO's and thus also WhO in ANY circumstance, if you disagree with that, fine, but please check up on your ability to filter out and understand the core of a Game. There's enough indication and has been back in the day, that WAR was and is an Endgame-Centered MMO, with the focus being on Grand-scale Open PvP. Nothing we do here or did last night has any big impact on the further development of this revival.
- Last but not least, as mentioned so many times before: There is NO fix to the Snowballing and I doubt there ever will be. So instead of desperately trying to fix it regardless and pissing off people in the process, just **** go with it and see what happens. I'm still positive T4 will probably strike a balance if people are invested and if not, then hell, where's the point in reviving a dead game, when all you have are selfish, egoistic people who can't strike a balance themselves and savor the fun and soul of the Game? There's literally no reason and no driving factor in this case, but that might just be my oppinion.
