Return of Reckoning

The only feasible option for a 2h tank is Chosen. The damage increase is negligible, you go 2h because of the combination of Crippling Strikes, 15% crit tactic, undefendable AoE attack and 25% parry increase. This allows you to have 25% damage reduction on all enemies at all times with a decent survivability and still be able to guard your melee dps.

back on live there were IBs that could kill u before you could even turnaround it was just with all the dot stacking. dps was just to high and fast hit+dot cc+dot aoe+dot like the sm so many dots

It's not all about the damage. Being a tank, even if specced dps, needs survibality.

If you can't mitigate enough damage guard damage while putting pressured the enemy team, you should reconsider.

Now, at OP, question is vague... Are you referring to current meta or endgame capped with bis gear?

Good question. I was considering current state of the game, which is IB. If we talk endgame, BO have highest DPS of all tanks.

I believe BOs have the most burst currently, thanks to GS and SYG. Question: what is the highest crit you can get on all tanks? I was getting 600+ crits with NidF before the last patch; it should be higher with Down Ye Go. This was without Focused Offense, of course.

Sustained DPS is all nice and dandy, but burst damage is what kills enemies.

edit: Actually i will try Down Ye Go! on squishies tonight and get back to you.

How you can compare numbers, if not hitting same geared and ranked targets? What you can do is a just for fun damage contest.

We can compare consistency. If he gets 800 crits once in a blue moon, and i happen to get several of those tonight with DYG, then i will be inclined to say BOs do more DPs currently.
