King of the Hill - my hopes are that the range of the buff will be visible to the owner, and not to small.
Also I would like to know what are the conditions to start it, so for example, it won't start when wb lead enters the zone with aao, but the zone will need to have some fights in it first.
Is the event only for 24 wb or can 6-12 man's also activate it?

culland wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2026 11:30 am Cant say that on face value the RvR event makes much sense to me. If the one side is really outnumbered and needs the help, they are not likely to win the event, so it just ends up being free crests for the bigger force. See how it plays out.

Disappointed that we didnt see any class tweaks, at least to address recently introduced issues.
If the champions obtain a buff similar to the Stage 3 on city sieges, the outunmbered side will have a lot of extra damage and heals, i think it will be enough to balance the fights

I really love the event
Your experience with city stage 3 must be different than mine. :) A leader and 2 others having boosted damage/defense and heals isnt really going to save you at 60% AAO. Just like in city, they will kill everyone else and then kill the boosted ones.

We shall see how it plays out in action, hopefully I am wrong. I think class choice for leader and lieutenants will make a big difference.
I remember the best battles I've ever played in this game during City Siege Phase 3, before the arrival of War Crest, when both sides gave their all in city sieges. But sadly, I haven't been able to play a city siege for almost three years due to fixed schedules.

I really don't know what the state of city sieges is right now, whether people are fighting for them or surrendering at the first wipe. But they used to be the best content in the game.

I feel the reward being limited to the area of the King of the Hill is a bit detrimental. I mean part of winning that would be stopping the enemy from even getting to the hill, which is where 6-12 man groups could really shine. I guess we will see how it plays out. At least they are trying to answer the 4 wb train that is currently running on NA order on a regular basis vs 1 pug wb.

You need at least 16 members in warband to start and talk to the NPC that spawned. When talking to him if you are a warband leader of 16+ members you get a confirmation dialog, answering yes on that starts the event

So looking at the weapon stats an uhh... can we just have high level things without procs? Just asking cause a ilvl66 fortress charms are now worse stat wise than ilvl50 madcap ones, due their useless proc.

Was kinda hoping for Nerfs to BL Weapon and other PvE weapons and some buffs to RvR Weapons and procs for SC Weapons. Also really wanted a removal or huge nerf to "blue" regen gear.

the new RvR thing has no intrest for roamers who once again gets overlooked, same as always with RoR Team

Will check out new easter Event tho, see whats cooking there.

Very nice to see, that good suggestions can find their way into the game! Well done community & Ror-team!

The new random aao event seems cool, but I instantly had concerns about funneling spots + this mechanic. But lets test and try it to see.

The weapon changes will have land and settle, but I just dont get the timing. We are in between MDPS patch and RDPS patch. Will this not change TTK and make RDPS patch more of a guessing game to perform, having wild item overhauls and meta shakeup before a dps patch is even introduced? How can you know the targeted TTK if everything is now up in the air.

Can you guys eloborate about decision to remove initiate from Bloodlord gear completely? Do you plan to add weapons that will be as powerfull as prior nerf weapons or something newer and stronger?

If the weapons change are the premise for what is going to happen to armor sets, nothing short of absolute disaster is in the making :D

Some guy in some basement was really bored to do those unnecessary changes to weapons.
