i dont agree /assist would dumb down the game, on the contrary it will promote skill over random AOE spaming ... (and perhaps scs wont end 1 kill vs. 1 kill any more, when you can switch target faster then in one minute until everyone has the new one cause the former got guard and pocket heal.)
This already happens in game without assist macroing for those doing it right, and it takes seconds, not a minute.

I get the usual Enemy Marker behavior which is a Sound Queue, Target Name, Target Class Icon and the KILL Mark.
What is currently not possible is using the Enemy Assist Button. But that is a API limitation since /target is not implemented.
Assist is mainly needed for RDPS. It is a huge pain and literally impossible for me to keep track of my RDPS targets when I'm on my tank. It it also very difficult to target those people even if you know who they are attacking.
Having assist is imo part of the game balance and needed badly.
Would you be willing to describe how to or share the modded file that allows enemy to use the party window instead of private channels.
II desperately miss being able to mark targets my group can see.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sharing my modifications.
What you basically need to do is modify a few lines in the Intercom.lua file. Pretty much anyone with basic LUA and game knowledge should be able to do this.
You also might want to look at the other files once you get this working. There is a lot of hidden communication going on that now becomes visible and gets a spammy if you don't disable it.
Also, everyone in your group will need the mod.
