That was ultra toxic, on a levels nowhere near solo prankeds even. any newcomer/newbie ocassionally joining "wrong" SC has been flamed like hell
I, personally, all in for that tbf, I did love e.g. solo prankeds toxicity, it created lots of memes, stories, clips and was pretty healthy for some part of community (while for the other part it has been totally unacceptable).
But by doing what you suggest we will open up a salt mine that big, that Malcham cave would look like a tiny hole in a garden in comparison. Just FYI
Also, another thing to comment in this thread - i believe we as community already gathered up lots of solid ideas for SCs rework, Only did create a manifest with this thread nailing the issue most preciosly so next step would be to refine and summarize all ideas. Barriers, guards, transparency who is in q, saga buff, MM (dont think they need help or ideas here tho, they know better how to construct it tbf), reducing XP gains + increasing RR gains (drastically required in midtier, its plain impossible to do SCs there you outlevel RR just way too fast while gains are totally the same as in T4), bring back old 6v6 system (havent been raised in this thread, but community point on it is loud&clear - not asked, not needed).
Also most important part that nobody mentioned here was refined and evaluated thru millions of whine threads in a category of "scary premades mess up my solo sc&stomps are not fun" thesis -
there should be some comeback mechanics for SCs by design (either by map or by "system"). And no, current "tank m4 for 10 seconds when you leave WC" is not it, current thingy is worthless and lame desinged, dirty smelly contagious bandaid ensuring that something will be infected and cut off very soon. Nobody ever since then came up with some nice ideas but however its imo clear that this is a hugest issue and main general direction of changes for revamping SCs. Because most
unfun part that any part (elitists, carebears, newcomers whoever) of community shares is that current SC system is "Stomp or be Stomped".
P.S. people do claim that MM wont help but it, along with transperacy for a q (alike rankeds), are the easiest and long overdue steps that RoR team can easily make. it should be a step 1 im convinced. totally agree with rest of folks that barriers and guards should be reverted ASAP. guards should award renown, barriers have to be gone along with stupid antiAFK (="go get farmed bro") mechanics (afterwards i believe it would be logical to look on surrender timers more closely and decide if it needs to be adjusted).
