This should be your spec at 26.

We had the exact same conversation last night on advice chat. Im sorry but i cannot post any constructive feedback to someone who says Arctic Blast shouldnt be part of the rotation. You will keep spamming Pit of Shades like 99% of the sorcs anyways just to top dmg on scs.

As an example, my hardest hit was in Mourkain 2 days ago, close to 1600 with WoP (with tactic ofcourse), just WoP, don't have to tell you what happened to the poor guy (or girl) when the rest hit same time :)

short version: Chilwin, WoP, Bolt, Hand of Ruin
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Reklaw R40 SO - Jabberwocky R40 DoK - Googol R40 MAg - Tinteling R40 MAr - Jabster R41 Chp - Unoffensive R23 SH - Jabbywoo R33 Zealot - Kittycat - Donalduck

Ihavecats R40 WL - Jabber R32 - Species R42 BW - Panini R26 AM - Frailty

If i lose my WoP in my rotation I drop down to 3828 damage, whereas losing CW in the posted rotations brings them down to 3510, a loss of 498 damage compared to losing 697 in mine.
Ok, this is the explanation for a retarded baby:

Sorcs are all about burst damage. Meaning, doing a lot of damage in a few seconds so healers don't have time to heal the target.

Maybe your rotation does more damage overall in the course of 10 seconds, but a VoD WoP will give you way more burst in the last 2 secs. If people are assisting you and the target is already wounded, this burst will guarantee a DB.

Isn't it kind of self-explanatory? A good WoP crit (VoD slotted) alone is enough to make anyone cry. Plus everything is situational, paper warhammer is like playing paper daoc. paper situations are ideal situations and rarely ever happen.

Bolt gloom burst works pretty good also

To the op.

Your math is dumb, stop over thinking.

Vod is a perma tactic on the bar, if you want to suck at being a sorc don't listen to us vets
Bitching about wanting math to back up your flawed theory is something I won't do

In 5 seconds when you wop pops you should have your bolt in the air traveling to the target then casting either gloom burst or hand of doom, all hit in the same time stamp. The damage on that time stamp is almost always enough to kill someone. Tanks even take a beating.

Even us vets that know what to look out for if we don't see you coming ie there is a tank or melee dps on Its a bad day.

Remember how AMs used to pester you to death? Not any more. 5 seconds is all it takes

where Gloomburst gets replaced by Hand of Ruin if you're specced for it in most situations;
Except when HoR is on CD i would say
