One more addition in this patch which we've just added into the notes:
Chapter 22
-
A new anti-leeching system has been added to all Chapter 22 PQs. Now, only members of the most active Warband in the PQ will get the top bag rolls. Leechers will get their rolls reduced to the bottom of the list.
So I'm going to be that guy for a moment... what mechanisms are in place to prevent this from being abused, e.g. the warband leader kicking most/all of the people out of the warband to guarantee themselves and a select few people the top bags?

Nothing but the social shame and blacklisting of being a jerk. And also the mechanics, which require far more than a 6-man to complete.
Most groups also do these in a set of 3, so anyone who kicks people out during the first Ch 22 PQ would likely not get any success on the next couple.
I think most groups that do these are pretty chill and remind others to opt out if they don't need the gold bags, so I'd be really surprised if this became a thing. If it does, we can always review down the road.

Was wondering the same thing especially since bw/sorc mechanic was weakened to make room for changes. Seems unnecessary if there are no changes done (also the least played rdps that hardly ever make kills leaderboards and don’t seem to much in demand for wbs either)
Thanks

Abilities with a cast time will now check their requirements (
e.g., LOS) more frequently
during the cast and at the end of the cast.
This change has had a disproportional negative effect on high-ping players, who already suffer enough disadvantages from their ping. I hope the dev team will consider whether the gameplay improvement from this change outweighs the difficulties it causes players connecting to the server from outside of Europe.

I couldn't find a statement that the nerf was done to make room for future changes. Where is that from?
In the patchnotes (
viewtopic.php?t=53721) the listed reasoning was:
If I might
theorize personally about where it specifically came from, it would be due to the Runepriest buff that allowed them to strip Elemental resistances in an AOE manner via Concussive Runes:
Prior to that, the Order faction had no consistent manner to remove more than ~150 of enemy Elemental resistances in an AOE manner (via KOTBS resist aura). To counterbalance that potential AOE BW dmg increase due to the extra 200 or so resistance strip, this nerf came to be.
The Sorc nerf was probably mirrored for symmetry reasons and to avoid potential drama from non-mirrored nerfs.
Unfortunately for those classes, dps Runepriests or heal Runepriests that spec for Concussive Runes are barely present in orvr since then, and due to the change to the strikethrough system 2 months later (
viewtopic.php?t=54273)
both Sorc and Bright Wizard now cannot connect their damage to enemies affected by Hold the Line as well as they could before.
Combined with the proc nerfs from late June (
viewtopic.php?f=42&t=53335#p556709) both classes have (at least according to personal observations) fallen somewhat out of grace in orvr.
If we also consider that, since the Ability Rework started, we've almost never seen class buffs before their respective balance phase, I would expect BW and Sorc to be reassessed when we get to the DPS Phase.

I want to rise my concerns about live event tasks that involve keep take or zone locks. These tasks make community to stick on one side and do mega zerg to complete fast these tasks then after a couple if days do the same on other side. This behaviour doesnt benefit anyone and show the worst that the game could provide
So just remove or change these tasks. Make it less win condition specific like take 20 bos or something.
But avoid creating mega zergs cos of live event tasks

What's the point ?
Anti-leeching sytem in a "Public" quest ?
Instead of thinking like that, give a bag for every player that has participated to the PQ, and not a fix amount of bags.
Anyway the sytem to get gold bag is just about luck.
