This means that when stacking high Weapon Skill (like in orvr) the 25% additive bonus is better than the old 50% multiplicative bonus:

Mara with 60% armor penetration from WS and items + Piercing Bite (Old/New)
vs
Enemy with 3300 (75%) armor
  • Old Piercing Bite
    Physical Mitigation = 75% x ( 1 - 0.60) x (1 - 0.50) = 75% x 0.40 x 0.50 = 15%
    Damage Taken by them = 85%
  • New Piercing Bite
    Physical Mitigation = 75% x ( 1 - 0.60 - 0.25) = 75% x 0.15 = 11.25%
    Damage Taken by them = 88.75%
Damage increase from this change = (88.75 - 85)/85 = 4.4%
It will always be better if you have/had more than 50% armor penetration (from WS, items and after reducing it by the enemy's reduced armor penetration) and the difference is more pronounced the more Armor the target has/had.
Im aware how it works. I was more refering spesifically Marauder Piercing Bite changed to everything even AA dmg. Before when Piercing Bite was bugged and affected everything +Auto Attacks 50% Armour ignore was pretty OP but 25% Feels Okay.
He want to tell you that because of new stacking rule 25% PB is better than old 50% PB when you stack armor pen. So 25 should be more op that 50 if effect all skills. And you consider old 50% being op so...
Im trying to tell all of you i want Piercing Bite Affecting ALL DMG like autoattacks and non mutation needed skills nothing more...

buffing flail is like , i whnat sit on monstrostance and spam it and receive all cookies from monstrostance.
maby move flail into savagery, if u whant spam it. :D

for me the main issue is that, i need to solely use skills that are mutation based, otherwise its un effective dosent matter what skill it is, if its not based on mutation, its underperforming.
