Were the melee classes overpowered? Or why do you now have to skill strength AND weaponskill AND initiative? If you compare that with range classes ...

The statistic that gave offensive and defensive bonuses was too strong.
I consider this change very good and needed.
I say this from the perspective of a person who plays only mdps, tanks and helaers.
I am very surprised, moreover, by the lament of mdps about the lack of parry.
I have never invested in parry as defensive reinforcements on this server and on live server rather on FS/TB/Wounds/detaunt.
The change will bring one more change. Riposte will be less useful fortunately.
A tactic that worked better if you stacked WS you had more parry = more Riposte ticks.
That is, when you had more defensive (parry) you did more damage (where does that make sense?).

maybe next time you push another change nobody ever suggested ask yourself whether it will result in more or less players online thx. every time i read patch notes i pray another server pops up and maybe then youll start thinking about the player base. the game is propably at its lowest point right now and i am saying it with deep regret not malice

Balance process feel totally random. Months are spent on the tank phase of balancing and then just when next phase start, global changes, which very much affect tanks, are implementet.
The foundation (how stat functions for instance) need to be set before it is meaningful to fiddle with abilities. Sadly, the game feel worse with almost every single patch nowdays.

Of course the mele has a definite advantage over the rdps.
Of course rdps can inflict massive damage in a short period of time but must have time to do so not be pressured by mdps.
Most people only see the big numbers and don't consider how much time he had to throw rpds ability or assume rotation.
Remember the very limiting rdps change in Con of fire.
How are you supposed to cast spells / shoot as you run away from the enemy?
Oh I don't play rpds classes at all but I see this huge dominance of mele vs rdps with an advantage for mele ofc.
Rdps are strong but only if you let them.
When they have another front line team and you have a weak composition in sc.
It often happens that they execute us (mele) on sc but that doesn't mean they are more op than mele.

Probably time to remind that this patch doesn't actually makes it easier for rdps to kill a mdps, or vise versa- it only helps mdps kill each other. In other words, you are more vulnerable, but so is your opponent.

I don’t think this patch favors either order or destruction. As Everyone know class itslef is bit weaker than other 2h tanks.
With full physical abilities and low str BO had to stack weapon skill to make their abilities anyway useful. Moreover IT was boost to parry in both self and guard defence.
So now 2h BO needs to go for def what's is stupid cause dmg output will be not much higher than snb
Or
Be glass Cannon classs without both dmg and survival compared to cost of investments and other classes.
Iam not even talking about 7piece warlord NERF too.
So this decision just destroy 2h BO (and 2h kotbs) but nobody cares because others i suppose people with higher influence on decision making get BUFF for AM Shaman, RP, zealot and range dps in general.
I cannot wait for even more ppl siting on keep walls or even more range slow for classes with single 60sec removal which is useless to all punta etc.
As we know this kind of change is in favour of order while they use more range dps what is completely fine itself.
Ppl who spend months to farm end game gear which is useless are tricked hard.

The only thing I can think of is, they must want tanks to use shields and guard melee dps. I am not sure what the role of a 2h tank is now. Perhaps all will become clear once all the balancing process is completed.
