Sorc is miles ahead of SW it is not comparable, not about a single hit but the total amount of damage done in a given time window.

For fester Arrow to even crit 4k(rare) it requires a soft target (non-existent toughness) with all the BIS + % buffs min/maxed + VoN. But still a single hit that could finish only a target with low wounds (low gear) in combination with Fell the Weak or someone already wounded.

It is nice for zerg surfing KB or assist a WL but dont compare it to a sorc, sorc dps is much more powerful.

Festering Arrow is a 3 sec cast single target skill - the strongest that SW have in a Path of The Scout tree (long range single target play).
The catch is, that it can be directly upgraded by 4 other SW spells (2 core abilities and 2 tactics).

Yes in perfect situation, it can hit hard. The CD is 5 sec. And that's it. The rest of the story is (probably) dead SW.
There is a reason why most of the destro players love SW's - it is a nice source of renown :-)

My SW is not BIS equiped, but I can say that this was not a normal Hit, some kind of damagebuff, warcamp or city champion was running there. You can crit for 3k but overall lag on follow up damage if you are not able to get your target below 30%.

Can SW hit hard - yes.
Does a SW kill faster then other dps - only on extream squishy targets.
Does Scout SW offer anything else beside festering regarding damage - no

It's 2 second cast time with tactic, 1 second with Focused Mind and 0 CD with WW. Tbh, still not issue, unless facing proper assist train in open world smallscale.
The only issue is proper sync with Eye Shot securing most kills for victims as it leaves no time to react with e.g. detaunt. Again, still not big issue because guard exists and healers are just required to properly position themselves.

The only reason most of destro love SWs is because average SW: a) has no proper party to support him, b) hes playing with his feet instead of hands.

Hey this reminds me is anyone still running range HE warbands? Rolgrom did a few years back that were heavy on aoe SWs. and they were very fun and viable in rvr lakes (at least until siege).

and this is the post patch "nerfed" version. As usual we see above the argument that for SW to do any damage at all the target must be naked, low cr/rr and the SW wc buffed. Anybody else just laughs their damage off.

There was also a Knight of the Blazing Sun on the Top 10 Leaderboard a few days ago with very high KDA - does that mean Knight is OP too?

If there were 5 kotbs on monthly kill leaderboard that would mean that kotbs is op, yes
