I say this for people who saying "devs no care about this kind of update", I know the new update is not my idea don't worry haha. But I am happy to see this

How convenient of you to forget that the jewelcrafting profession is basically entirely PvP focused and has absolutely nothing to do with your ideas. But sure, whatever aligns with your agenda of introducing sophisticated, environment driven modern crafting system to RoR. Devs adding additional drops to player kills for a time is, of course, a sign that playerbase is in general interested in spending 200 hours of playtime running around marshes of madness looking for a mushroom that let's them craft a better shammy helmet. And armor scales being prime way of farming gold is in no way tied to the majority of playerbase considering it a ducking chore to kill mobs, just a coincidental connection.
RoR doesnt deserve being taken seriously.
